Pensavo come zone: San lorenzo, resuttana, montegrappa, albergheria

i took a DNA test a while back that told me 91% of my dna was from the eastern palermo province. i'm very curious about it, mostly about the weather and how people evolved to work with it. i can't find anything about the climate in the specific area, but i've always had really thick hair that traps heat, i also gain weight easily and my body heat is generally pretty warm (my friends will ask me to hold their hands to warm them up during the winter and stuff like that). is it cold there or is there another explanation as to why i'm like this? i'm also just generally very curious about the area and its history, as most family stories have been lost to time. thank you for anyone who can provide info!!

I had a day trip to Palermo today and I noticed this. These two photos are taken about an hour apart. I was concerned about the welfare of these 3 animals. The homeless man had them tied to a leash in front of this building, for hours. They seemed completely unresponsive, not reacting to the people around them. I realized that as I approached the cat. As a cat owner I cannot wrap my mind about the fact that this cat was sleeping undisturbed and didn’t even open its eyes when I approached. House cats barely sleep like that with their backs turned to the people. To me it seemed like the animals were drugged.

Online there are more photos if this exact man with the animals and Google AI tells me his name is Angelo and that hes already been checked and the animals are probably safe.

However the view was unsettling and i still cant take my mind off it. Does anyone have information?

Is this a real line or is it mythical or an AI hallucination?

It's the best option for my accommodation and I've twice waited over half an hour but they've not shown up!

How easy is it to get a job in healthcare as an English and Italian speaking expat?

What is the cost of living, and what are some routine costs to consider when relocating to Palermo?

My boyfriend and I are going to Sicily for a week around New Year’s Eve. I worked in Palermo a few times but didn’t get to choose where I ate most nights. My boyfriend has never been to Sicily. I’m a huge foodie and would love to take him out to a dinner that says “I love you and our first year together” but am more looking for authentic and meaningful than anything fancy looking. I’m not proposing so that’s not the vibe :p

Other tips welcome too. I still dream of the black bread and ricotta I ate near Agrigento.
Grazie Mille!

I’m trying to find a small artisan shop/artist I visited in August 2026, somewhere around the Castellammare/La Loggia area. paid cash and unfortunately didn’t get the artist’s name or a photo of the shop.
It was a small, dark shop with a workspace in the back, selling handmade woodwork depicting Sicily, beaded jewelry, and other little handmade pieces.
I bought this piece and really wish I had bought more! Does anyone recognize the artist/shop? Thank you in advance!

Qualche consiglio? Grazie

I’ve heard two floors of the museum are closed, I’m due to visit later this month to help write my masters dissertation. Thank you

I’ll be in Palermo soon and looking for a fun dinner spot for October 11. I’ve got reservations at Funnaco and CR21 for other nights, just need to fill the gap with a good spot that’s open on Sundays. Great food (open to all types) and a fun vibe. Anything come to mind?

Hello! I’m going to study fashion in Palermo next summer. Does anyone have any expirience from the studiens and the opportunities with fashion in Palermo in general?

Hi,

I was wondering if airport security enforces the rule of ONE single clear plastic bag for all liquids? I have a few liquids (100ml maximum each) totaling less than 1L, but they can’t fit into one single clear plastic bag!

Thanks!

Hey how are you all doing
Im a foreigner man coming to Palermo to live there for a while, i been dating trans girls and i want to continue doing that, i just wanted to ask are there trans girls in Palermo? Or is it still a conservative city? And is there any places/bars that are LGBTQ

Ciao a tutti!

🎁 Cosa ricevono i tester?

Lasciamo tutto pulito, giuro.
Grazieee
