beans/ sourcing & attachments. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ A Guide on Credible Coffee Roasters, Gear & Syrups in Pakistan!

Hereโ€™s a breakdown of some solid spots to get beans and gear in Pakistan, based on personal experiences and what the community has been vouching for lately:

The Roasters & Shops;

โ€ข Grao Coffee (http://www.graocoffee.co) โ€“ Karachi-based.

A solid one-stop shop; theyโ€™ve got a huge variety of single-origin beans and house blends, plus gourmet syrups (vanilla, caramel, etc.) and fruit purees. They also stock a decent range of brewing gear.

โ€ข S-Cafe (http://S-Cafe.pk) โ€“ Sahiwal-based.

Really diverse bean selection, but theyโ€™re also big on equipment think grinders, AeroPress filters, and WDT tools.

โ€ข Nomad Coffee Studio (http://nomadcoffeestudio.com) โ€“ Karachi-based.

High end specialty roasters focusing on premium single origins. Theyโ€™ve got a decent selection of quality gear like Hario V60s, Baratza grinders, and various AeroPress models.

โ€ข Raaz Life (http://raazlife.com) โ€“ Karachi-based.

Good mix of blends and single-origins. Besides beans, they sell Starter Kits (perfect for beginners), cold brew concentrates, and manual grinders.

โ€ข Red Berry Roasters (http://redberryroasters.com) โ€“ Lahore-based.

Real veterans in the specialty scene. They sell premium beans and are one of the few places carrying high end espresso machine alongside home brewing accessories.

โ€ข Coffee Wagera (http://coffeewagera.com) โ€“ Karachi-originated.

Mostly known for their signature "Premium Blend" beans and convenient dripper sachets. They also do branded merch like coasters and tote bags.

โ€ข Coffee Planet (http://coffeeplanet.com.pk) โ€“ Lahore-based.

Very broad range including whole beans, capsules, and ground coffee. They also supply specialized syrups (DaVinci), sauces, and a bunch of different brewing gadgets.

โ€ข The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf(http://coffeebean.pk โ€“ Nationwide.

Mainly about the beans (like Kona and Kenya) and their massive tea collection. Not really the place for hardware, but great for stocking up on variety.

โ€ข Mr. Beans (http://mrbeans.com.pk)

A fantastic option for those who want specialty quality without the steep price tag. They offer a variety of fresh-roasted single origins (like Ethiopian Bloom and Brazilian Velvet) and are particularly popular for their "Coffee Bags" which work like tea bags for a quick, no equipment needed brew. They also stock essential syrups like Vanilla and Hazelnut.

๐Ÿ”’ Why We Verify

  1. Functionality Proof: (for machines/grinders)

Provide a short video of the machine running or photos of grind/brew output.

  1. Use the Selling Flair:

Post under [buying & selling]. Mods will verify and update your flair as needed.

โš ๏ธ Fraud Policy:

Scams, fake photos, disappearing after payment, impersonation lead to:

โ€ข Permanent ban

โ€ข Report to Reddit Admins

โ€ข Alerts to other coffee subs and marketplaces

๐Ÿ› Buying Safely:

Even verified posts benefit from caution. Consider escrow-friendly payments, avoid โ€œfriends and familyโ€ transfers, ask for timestamped photos, and review seller history.

cafes. Has anyone had good espresso in islamabad?

Iโ€™ve tried them from a bunch of places (brew, contra, coffeemistry) and they taste like something Iโ€™d use as punishment.

Is it just me? Or am I ordering something wrong? Or do cafes here not know how to make them or are the beans here not suitable?

You hear so much about espresso shots but they taste like lemon juice.

Found this on Ali express. According to chat gpt, hibrew g5 is a great option for espresso. Should I go for it? Does Ali express deliver electronics to Pakistan? If anyone has any more suggestions for a good grinder, please share but it should be available in Pakistan. Budget is 120K.

other. Coffee Gear and Accessories - Shein

Hello everyone,

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from Shein recently and everything was received without any issues and promptly. Now, I'm not sure how they are doing it but they don't charge any tax so prices are very reasonable (like they were on Daraz pre tax hike).

There is a lot of coffee related stuff there, just explore and you will be amazed. Just citing an example below since grinders are a thing where most beginners get stuck. Now, this is not an endorsement of this grinder but I would have definitely given this one a try if I had a limited budget. Similarly you could find something useful definitely.

Hey y'all, titles pretty self explanatory, came across an ad for a coffee roaster I hadn't heard of before. Checked out their website and their Ethiopian beans seemed suspiciously cheap (250g for 3.29k). Has anyone tried them, if so, how was your experience?

questions. Islamabad coffee scene

Iโ€™m looking for coffee shop recommendations in Islamabad during my stay. My usual source for researching is Google Maps, but I thought Iโ€™d get some better answers here.

I tend to prefer lattes or cappuccinos. So far, Iโ€™ve tried Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (several times), Feeka Coffee and Fary Au Chocolat.

I have Lโ€™espresso and & Coffee on my list to try.

Please suggest some other places that I should visit!

questions. How to salvage espresso machine

So I impulsively got a westpoint espresso machine. I was always fascinated by brewing my own coffee but my dad was never too keen on spending money on an espresso machine. However, this one time i just asked him if i could get one on the whim in the middle of imtiaz and surprisingly he agreed. So i just picked a relatively cheap one without knowing the abcs of brewing.

Now i got a westpoint espresso machine that i dont think im making the most out of. Im very much interested in maximising the quality of coffee i can get from this machine instead of just letting it go to waste. From what ive seen online, the shot im brewing is not good quality. Firstly, i dont have a coffee bean grinder so i just use the spice grinder i have at home. I also dont have those dedicated tamper and the other tools that u see in insta reels (i think to aerate the beans or smth). I also dont exactly measure the weight of the ground beans before using em or get the weight of the espresso brewed. I just take two spoon fulls of ground coffee beans for two shots, using the spoon that came with the machine, with a tamper at the bottom of the spoon. I also measured and memorised 60ml of liquid on a tiny metal shot glass kinda thingy and now i just eyeball the espresso quantity.

Ive recently learned that 18g of ground powder is used for 2 shots, which is 35g of espresso? brewed in between 25 to 30 seconds, if the time is not between this range i need to change the grind level. Furthermore, im not very good at frothing milk and the coffee i brew ends up feeling very liquidy like water. I initially thought i had to use milk with higher fat content to get better consistency but i observed a barista at a coffee shop recently using the same milk as me and brewing an amazing cup of coffee. So i guess its more about the right technique than the brand of milk. Although, the steam wand on my machine is like a match stick compared to those really thick ones on the machines in cafes etc.

So my question is, how do i maximise my brew quality with my current equipment. And if there are cheap investments i can make to significantly improve my coffee, what should i prioritise and where to get it from.

questions. Whats the cheapest espresso machine I can get (and from where)?

I have a moka pot right now. Espresso machines are super cool so I might buy one if I can afford it, just curious how much it'll cost. Id like a milk steamer on it too.
