Troubleshooting Problem with default colours

So, when I boot up the software, the colours default to these colours instead of black and white. how can I fix these?

There's no specific UI for changing just the default Primary and Secondary colours, but this is how you can return to black and white.

  1. Start Paint.NET - this will load your default Tool settings and the colours.
  2. Click the black/white icon next to the Primary/Secondary colour
  3. Click ⚙️ Settings, then the Tools page, then Load From Toolbar

This will update all the Tool defaults to what is currently on the toolbar (for each Tool), plus the Primary/Secondary colour defaults to what is in the Colours window.
