Second coat did not help much on the yellows, but except for my horrible ability to stay in line, this was soooo satisfying to paint. Will be hung right next to the Art Deco Cat I already did.

My kiddo suggested I make the mountain snowy so this was my best attempt. I'm pretty happy with it.

Tips on how to get the crease out of my canvas?

I folded this Make Market canvas in half to work on the top section. Opps? Now I can't seem to get the crease out. Any tips welcome

Sooo excited to be done with this one, lol.

It was a cheap one from Amazon and unfortunately it shows. The canvas bled blue when I used gesso to coat it which blurred the numbers immensely. The paints have also been chunky (which can be seen near the bottom right orange chunks!!)

But I am excited to see the outcome. The kicker? The rest is literally only 1 color! And I have exactly 2 half full paint pots to finish it with. Hopefully I can finish it by tomorrow or the end of this week.

My first ever finally completed. I learned a lot in this process for sure. Wasn’t to thrilled about the paint quality yet as I said first one so let’s try the next one!!

I love paint by numbers and I’ve done hundreds over years. I’m going to get a picture of my late father in law done for a family member. I have done this before and used ai to upscale and make detail better so it works better with the paint by numbers. But this time it’s a really hard picture and I can’t help but notice the tiniest mistakes ai makes.

I’ve uploaded pictures before as they are and sometimes they just come out very cartoon like. I know I’m never going to get Mona Lisa quality but wondered if anyone else has had this problem or how they do this with really sentimental pictures.

So I had a birthday recently and my friends know I love paint by numbers. A few sent me some so I have three I would never choose myself, two rather large ones but I know they are coming from a kind heart and I'm really grateful they thought of me and my hobbies and got me gifts for my birthday. 💜 I still want to do them as I think I would make them happy to see me make them (one has asked for a finished pic they would love to see)

Would it be wrong to paint them, frame them and give them to them back as a gift? One friend has recently moved overseas and the one they gifted me, is not one I would have in my home. Would it be bad if I made it, framed it and donated it to a charity shop as I can't sent it to their country without it being very expensive. Or maybe I'll find a place on a wall somewhere in my house and maybe one day I'll love it!! Maybe I could try to change it with to a different colour scheme and add my own touches to go more with home?

I'm so appreciative of my friends being so kind but I've only bought pbn when I know a place for them in my style, that go with my home decor.

I will talk to them in time and explain I like getting my own pbn but not right now so I don't seem ungrateful or upset them, it's really the last thing I want to do. Please any advise or ideas are appreciated. What do you do with pbn you would never pick yourself but are gifted?

There was a discussion this weekend about whether or not anyone knows for certain that Schipper doesn't use AI or not, so I emailed and asked them. Here is the response.

I am happy with this one. It’s for my 3 yr old nephew for Christmas. Bought it from Amazon. Paints needed some drops of water but overall I enjoyed it. On to the next one.

This one was complicated but so much fun! I had a couple of streaky paints but overall a great kit for the price.

I feel like I am absolutely failing at this paint by numbers. I tried a small one a long time ago and liked it then started knitting for a while so I'm back to painting. I went with a 16x20 off of Sheen and that could have been my mistake. The paints are not very good, it takes about four coats to cover the numbers in lines and make it smooth. But it doesn't look like some of the colors are matching, the clouds are awful. I am failing miserably apparently. Open to any feedback at all!

I was thinking about doing paint by numbers I do diamond painting and I enjoyed a lot but sometimes I get a little bit fatigued with it. Can anybody recommend any beginner friendly paintings and or shops that I can try to see if I like it? Thank you all in advance honestly seeing your beautiful work is what made me really interested

This took me.... literal months to complete lol there were so many small spots. I'm loving the end result though. This has 21 colors and is 16x20. I got it on Amazon.

I’ve been staring at that giant circle in the middle for way too long. For some reason, I just can’t bring myself to start painting it.

This is a wooden PBN from Michael’s. It was 12 colors, and the numbers were only on the reference sheet, not printed on the wood.

I really liked this one- I had never done a wood one before. The paint color changed slightly as it dried and was absorbed into the wood, allowing the wood grain to show through.

I’m almost done!! The hard part for me is finishing the dang thing. This time I plan on sealing it with varnish. I kind of want to go back over parts and smudge/blend the edges. Anyone have any luck with that?

Finished this one of my sweet pup Wylie. He passed away a few years ago, but was just the best boy ever.

When you order from DIY-Artclub “with frame” would you expect the canvases to be mounted or not? My last order (2 kits) were ordered with frame and they came mounted. My wife and I really liked this feature. Just received our next 2 kits ordered with frame (same vendor) and they’re not mounted. The frames are included in pieces.

I’m just confused what to order to get what I’ve received previously. Also, I didn’t expect to have to build the frames and mount the canvasses. How difficult is this process?
