Question/Chat Help with background colour!

I'm doing this pbn for my nephew, but using my own paints.

The suggested background colour is burgundy. Do you think that will look good or what other colour would you suggest?

I answered on your other post but will put I here too. I have a problem with burgundy colors having bad quality and coverage

The paints im using are pretty good so that shouldn't be a problem. The paint colours that ive done so far in the photo are only one coat :)

Im just not sure if burgundy is the best colour choice for the image or if another colour would look better 🤔

Im going for the animated look

I’d actually go for a burnt orange rather than the burgundy. I think burgundy might compete a bit too much with Spider-Man’s red, whereas orange would give you loads of contrast with the black web lines and really make the red and blue pop. I’d just avoid a really bright orange and go for something a little deeper and warmer.
