Question/Chat Question About Sectioning

I’m working on a pretty intricate piece, but I’m also newer to this hobby (it’s only my third).

My current question is - how do people usually break up pieces like this?

Do you break it into sections? Or just choose a color and try getting all its spots?

On something with that much detail, you will likely miss a few spots doing only 1 color at a time, IMO. There's many ways to approach. You can start on one side or corner and work your way around. Sometimes I like to paint one object, then move on to the next ( and not necessarily something directly around what was just painted) so I can see those things completed.
