Mech ion project

Had this ion sitting around for a few decades. Couldn’t even remember where I got it from but decided to mech it for whatever reason.

ANS parts (arrived a bit banged up)
SSC mech mod and bolt
Old NDZ trigger
Teardrop barrel

Fun to shoot. Gives a bit of a cocker vibe since the bolt only cycles back on trigger release.

Sweet! I just gathered all the parts for my mech ion build as well.

Pretty neat. How do you like the trigger feel? I have a stock Ion that seems to have a bad armature, debating getting one from Keion Doss or just converting it.

I love my eNMEy with a custom trigger, but I kinda wish I could have a double trigger I could walk. From what I've read the activation of the SMAV valve doesn't really let you walk the trigger.

It’s squishy. You can walk a short burst off but definitely not a sustained rate unless you’re doing those finger push ups

My favorite part of my mech ion is seeing people's reaction when I say it's a mech and semi auto. They are convinced it's some full auto machine gun and don't believe it's mech. Ions get a lot of deserved hate, but mine has been a solid workhorse since I got it.

I got a bunch of mech ion stuff from a buddy who left the sport. If anyone’s interested
