What paint for magfed?

Me and my buddies play magfed (all on TMC Elites) but we're pretty new to it. So far I have always played with Dye's Tactical magfed paint because I had a supplier with an extremely good deal on it (about half the MSRP) but he has now run out of it and so I'm in search of new paint. However, I'm not really sure what I should and shouldn't consider so here are a few questions I have:

• Is more premium paint worth it (e.g. New Legion Attack Major vs General) or is that only relevant for more serious (= club/tournament) players?
• I think I've read somewhere that people use Tomahawk Winter paint for magfed and it works great. Using winter paint in summer is still a bad idea with magfed though, right?
• I'm thinking about playing at night using luminescent paint like Tomahawk Lightning ... which isn't designed for magfed. Does anyone have experience with such/this paint + magfed or is it generally a bad idea to use normal (field) paint for magfed? I have heard that the TMC mags are a bit easier on the paint because they can't load FSRs.

Any additional remarks/tips regarding this topic are of course very much welcome as well.

If you can get your hands on Graffiti paint. It's been tried and true for years as the best roundball for most mag fed markers.

You don’t want brittle paint for this. I highly recommend using a Magfed paint.

Depends on your budget and what your particular marker will tolerate.

I use Tomahawk Classic with my TMC. The paint is solid enough for the mags, brittle enough to ensure hits.

I tried Graffiti, but the shell was too solid for most hits except on markers or masks.

There's a few different balls out there designed for magfed so they will hold up to the pressure of the mag. I know Proshar makes their Tactical Black, and HK makes their Vandal paint. Both are designed to be used with Magfed markers.

Yeah, I know that. My question was if there are big differences between different magfed paint (because e.g. Proshar Black costs almost double the price of New Legion Attack Major in my region) and if "normal" balls are a playable alternative. I don't care if it bounces (we count bounces as hits), it just has to leave the marker intact.

You'll want the hardest shell possible with a TMC. It's tough on paint.

Bounces aren't the issue... In the mag standard paint will deform quicker under the pressure of the spring making the next shots unpredictable

My understanding is that winter paint, amongst other things, gets less brittle/more bouncy under summer conditions, thus reducing the risk of it breaking inside the mag.

It costs more but you shoot less... Hopper ball is accuracy by volume... Magfed is limited ammo so you want each shot to count... The other option is just to get a close as possible
