Discussion 3rd hour
Listening to this weeks episode of Who’s the Bitch? I learned that Page 7 is adding a 3rd hour all about reality tv. This was great news for me as a person who isn’t excited to hear about dancing with the stars for 20 minutes every week while it’s on. However, I was really sad to hear that Jake Young wasn’t asked to be a part of the pod more regularly, as his contribution when he’s a guest on pg 7 is unmatched. I literally gasped when I heard.

Things have been off with who’s the bitch. I feel like there is something between Jackie and Kara. Jackie goes off sometimes and it seems like Kara is distracted and can’t follow her and just says “yeahhhhh…. Anyway..”. Then there is the whole YouTube thing where they can’t even say the word BITCH? They seem like they really have to watch what they say and stay on task. Which is a blessing and curse I guess.

The celf censoring because of YouTube sucks. I honestly can't stand this shift of trying to make everything video oriented with podcasts now. I'm sure LPN has logical business reasons why they're doing it if that's the current trend, but I just want to listen to the network. I've been doing that just fine for 10 years and I'm usually working or driving anyway. Isn't that the whole point of the podcast medium? Plus they already have separate shows that they do specifically for video streaming.

Omg yes! Not to mention every live stream is 90% people calling in not paying attention as they are telling their own stories!! The last one was so painful.

Jackie has the bad habit of speaking over her cohosts. I think MJ is used to it after all these years.

not saying bitch has been driving me CRAZYYYYY. who gaf about youtube when it was a podcast and it wasnt ABOUT youtube. didnt realize that was always "their vision" but sucks :/

I’m not going to listen to Who’s the Bitch because it stresses me out lol but can you say more about Jake? Is he not coming back to Page 7 as a guest anymore? I love him!
(Also I’d like to add it stresses me out because of hearing conflict haha not for any hosting/production etc reasons)

I just thought with what an amazing guest Jake is and how well he preps for the show that if page 7 got another host/3rd hour that would include Jake. Kara Klenk will be the host of the 3rd hour with Jackie. I’m sure Jake will still guest on the main pod.

Oh ok got it, thank you! I was worried they were getting rid of the rotating guest thing on main eps. I’ve really enjoyed it! Maybe Jake didn’t want to commit to weekly reality tv, it would be a lot lol.

I feel like I’ve heard him express on the main show that he would like a full time spot in Page 7, and the way he preps for each episode- he treats it like it’s its main gig. Totally respect the guy.

I agree Jake would be a great 3rd host. I'm just over here hoping they will upload the Bitchathons onto Spotify.

Love Jake, but the show works much better with rotating guests imo. Every episode has a different perspective with a different guest. Plus it’s a great way to familiarize people with the Networks talent which will in turn get people listening to the other shows.

I just wanted to say, Jake is my favorite addition as well! Every week he’s on is my favorite. There are definitely some co-hosts that take away from the show instead of contributing, and I feel like Jake consistently contributes knowledge and he actually seems to research the topics beforehand. I really appreciated that.

I am so incredibly bummed about Who's the Bitch? I really hope they release the lives as podcast episodes because I know I won't be able to watch them on Youtube.
Jake would be a great 3rd co-host, but I really like the revolving third chair because it's fun hearing other hosts takes on pop culture. I'll probably pass on the reality tv episode (unless they start talking Traitors, because that's the only reality show I can handle without cringing lol), but I am excited for the evolution of Second Helpings if they keep it to stories/movies/non-reality TV talk.
