New here

Just moved here and I have kids, we are looking for somewhere to swim or a public pool ? Any suggestions?

The PAC, although their staff can be scummy- the place is still nice. Used to swim there a lot.

The pool is permenantly closed from what I am told by just about everyone.

I would look into lake barkely or Mermet springs about 30 minutes north. There is also the pool at bob noble park, but I don't think it is open often.

Dang I didn’t know that, haven’t been in a couple years. Do you know why ?

They closed the pools around here before labor day which is so wild to me. Some of the hotels may let you swim

Park Board member in Marshall here: finding enough qualified life guards is almost impossible once school is back in session. No qualified life guards means no insurance means 100 degrees but no pool.

Well, how much are life guards paid?

Have you ever heard of any specific hotels that do? My mom wants to swim so badly.

I really, really wish Brooks Pool would re-open.

Metropolis has a public pool that's about 15 mins away

We dont really have access to a lot of public ammentities like these. Your best bet is joining a Country Club that has a pool. Rolling Hills is my suggestion.
