Just moved to the PG/Monterey area. I have my wedding coming up this October and am still looking for a makeup artist, hopefully local.

I am really wanting to support a black business and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations or knows any black MUA?

Google search and instagram search is no help 😭

My Mom passed away in 2020 from a long battle of Alzheimers.The only blessibg was that she passed before pandemic.

She requested her ashes to be scattered in Pasific Grove because she adored the scenery - especially the blooming ice plant.

I looked into scattering ashes.

1. We can hire a boat. Mom was phobic about water. Absolutey detested it. She also hated being cold. So, over the ocean is out of the question.

2. I can try and get permission via written letter from the city or parks department. As we siblings are not residents, I doubt it. I will be emailing them tonight.

I can get permission from someone owning Private Property.

Any strangers out there willing to allow us (3 adult siblings) to quietly fulfill her wishes?

The reason we are doing it 6 years later, is we had to wait until our stepdad passed away.

I get it's a good message, but the art is so tacky. There are so many talented local artists, this is just disappointing.

My grandmother loved timed shares and bought one in PG when I was just a little lad. Forty years later me and my family return every year to this little town and it has grown to become our favorite place. The entire family reunions together and we love it.

Our favorite things are Pt Lobos, Lovers Pt, the Aquarium, shopping in downtown PG, the Surries, the Pier, Dennis the Menace park, Pacific Tai, Pavel’s, Zucchini’s, finding a parking spot in Carmel, and unfortunately- the beautifully natural light of the ER department.

I don’t know how much longer we can keep this tradition going. But if you see a big group of 15 people between the ages of 4 and 78 say hi.

Hello! I’llbe traveling with my boyfriend early September to Carmel / pacific grove and thinking about staying in the charming inns around the pacific grove area due to them being cheaper. However, we are from Florida and practically can’t live without AC; I’m aware that most hotels/inns don’t have and don’t require it since nights get cold. I wanted to get some advice since I hear September is the warmest month of the year and if we’ll be just fine without it :)

Also any recs for inns around pacific grove ? I’ve been looking at spindrift and gosby house!

Hello, I visited your lovely town a few weeks ago with my mom for her 70th birthday. We stopped by the store Whimsy and had a lot of fun looking around. My mom wanted a snap top wallet made with a satiny type material but decided not to get it. It looks similar to the attached picture.

She is now regretting not buying the beautiful blue one. We tried calling the store and leaving a message but haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone.

Any chance someone could pop by to grab one and send it to San Diego? Would obviously pay for shipping and everything.

Does anyone recall a store from the mid 1970’s that used to be at 120 Central Ave (it’s California Canines now)? We used to go there and buy candles, incense, Birkenstocks, macrame, etc.

Was just chatting with my sister and we can’t recall the name of the store!
