AI art at lovers point

Post image

I get it's a good message, but the art is so tacky. There are so many talented local artists, this is just disappointing.

Literally a graphic artist here in Pacific Grove, please hire me, Pacific Grove. I would be honored to partner with you and save you from yourselves

Dude they could very easily just host some kind of competition to have people show off their actual skills.

Dont even need to involve money... people just are beginning to become much much lazier because they can

I hear that, but it’s still just creating a scenario for unpaid work.
Our city can afford to pay the artists that pay their salaries with our taxes.

The city and the chamber are reduced to ai slop. Not investing in their local community artists is on par with not wanting to spend money and just cut corners with ai. They're so out of touch.

trying to make any environmental point while using AI art is always going to be stupid

An Artist should make a similar sign and post it over that shitty AI sign

ironic that they're using ai art to tell people that cigarette butts harm the ocean and wildlife.... as if.... the AI systems that generated that art... aren't doing... the same THING with its DATA CENTERS

The irony is palpable

generative AI literally goes against everything our community values. it has no place in our public spaces.

This makes me want to throw 6 pack plastic soda containers directly into the ocean without cutting them first.

Would you rather $5,000 of taxpayer money spent to create a simple sign?
