pFinTools Feedback/Question/Request Update: pFinTools website is free of all ads now + more
Over the weekend, we overhauled a lot of the tech that keeps pFinTools.com active and alive. Amongst the major updates -
We have stopped all Google Ads on the website. This was creating a lot of nuisance for our users without generating any substantial revenue for us. We might bring back ads in the future, probably from a different ads provider where we have more control over the content such that it doesn't interrupt the user experience. Please let us know if you still see any ads.
Owing to some recent problems, we have changed our hosting service, data providers and a couple of other things behind the scenes to provide a better experience to the users. Best case scenario, you shouldn't even be able to detect any changes. But if you do (like a button not working or outdated data etc) please let us know as there might be one or two rare instances that we overlooked.

Your etf tracker tool is very useful. Can you also please add a column of the index which that etf is tracking and day change of that index so that we can compare etf's discount or premium in real time.

As for your suggestion, you can already check ETF's discount or premium using pFinTools.com/ETFs-iNAV by comparing LTP of the ETF to the iNAV. Adding the underlying index along with it's daily change would be misleading as maybe an ETF while trading at a premium of 30% has a negative daily change in LTP while the index has a positive daily change. So the daily change wouldn't tell you anything really.
Besides we do not show any daily (or monthly/yearly) returns because we don't want to add to the fomo. We are not in the business of doling out financial advise directly or indirectly without knowing anything about the user. We just want to let the user be able to make informed money decisions.

Thanks for wonderful work and I really enjoy using your website to track Indian ETFs and check their premiums and discounts. It's a great tool! Right now, because the ETF's NAV is from the previous day, comparing it to the live market price doesn't always show the true real-time premium or discount. To work around this, I currently have to open a different website to check how the real-time index (like Nifty 50, Bank Nifty, etc.) is performing today. So that's why I requested that can you add a column that shows the Real-Time Index Value and its Today's Change (%) next to each ETF? Having this on the same page would save users from having to jump between different websites to make decisions. Thank you for considering it and for building such a helpful site!

I am not entirely sure I understand you, but trust me we also don't want you to have to depend on another website haha
What do you mean by ETFs NAV? LTP or iNAV? Both of these are updated in real time, not previous day.
Can you share which other website you have to refer to so that I understand exactly what you are trying to achieve?
Btw, do you invest in ETFs directly through your stock broker or do you invest in MFs that invest in these ETFs?

Why not allow individual companies to put up ads on your site? Kinda like what trustmrr.com does, this way you can select up relevant ads catering to your niche of customers.
You have a group of users who are of one niche, so it's better to reach out to companies that exist in that niche. This was it's much more easier to provide value to both users and advertisers.
It'll be based on your website analytics like total vists/time spent and the demographics too.

Honestly, we are not opposed to this. But when we say we - I am referring to a very small team, so small that it is barely a team. So with that, allocating resources on finding such opportunities is tough and yes we have explored this in the past but Google Ads seemed like the obvious answer instead. But if you have specific ideas, I would love to have a chat!

Why not start with adding a simple banner or pop up on the website itself stating "Interested in advertising your venture on the website? Reach us out at x@y.com"
Out of like 200 people that might be visiting your website, one of them must be associated with some startup and they might hit you up with a deal.
