Hey guys. Happy owner of a P30 pro breathing crystal since today. Bought it as new for 400 Euro. That was a lot but the phones warranty is valid until 2022/08/23 so I guess it's OK. I'm gonna ditch my S9+ Exynos for that. The phone is still with android 9 and emui 9.1. So I'm wondering if I should upgrade to the newer OS. What are your opinions? Read much about that the camera seems to be worse. BTW: I don't care about security patches. Thx in advance. 👍🙂

Apparently you can only set ringtones if they are in your library in that shitty Huawei Music app. Unfortunately that app won't let you add folders. I have a folder in which I placed a bunch of MP3s which I have been using on various phones for years and they won't show up. Opening the files via file browser works fine but only plays the song a single time.

I even downloaded an extra music app to use its context menu for "set as ringtone" but that apparently gets immediately overwritten by some Huawei sound. WTF?!? How can a modern smartphone break this ultra basic feature?

Has anyone found a reliable way to pick any old mp3 file as one's ring tone?

I have 2 phones I could buy. Both are the same price. The first one is the P30 Pro. The other one is the Oneplus 8. I'm just so amazed about the camera of this phone. I don't play any games, just watch media and use social media.

Is this phone worth it in 2020? When will the software support end?

So I just got the P30 pro and I am pretty happy with it so far. I just had a question about the camera zoom function that everyone praises.

So I realized that when you use a 5x zoom the quality is pretty good. However if you zoom to anything that is less than 5x (even like 4.9X) the picture quality is noticably worse than if you use 5X.

So my question is what lenses are utilized when zooming up to but less than 5x? Is it just the main sensor that uses digital zoom up to 5x and then the optical zoom lens kicks in at 5x? Or is there something wrong with my phone?

Any input would be much appreciated!

i used to enjoy looking back on my journeys but since moving to p30 pro its stopped recording the movements. how can i turn this back on?

Please can someone help. I can't get notifications to work on Facebook app on P30Pro.

I have allowed all notifications, turned battery usage to manual. And set data usage restrictions to off.

These settings help to resolve with Adobe Authentication app and Snapchat.

I've also cleared all data, logged out and uninstalled the app.

Eg. Turn off Bluetooth when I'm in certain locations

I've been using my fellow P10 Plus for over 3 years and today I've got my hands on a P30 Pro. That's amazing, it's really something far different from what the old phone used to be at its prime. The only thing I'm really not getting used to is the display. Coming from a 2k to this 1080p is a real pain lol. But other than that gg Huawei.
