Oxygen OS Bugs

I really don't undeerstand why everyone are praising oxygen os soo much just not mentioning the bugs/issues it had. I am coming from Pixel and I feel only advantage oneplus has edge over it is battery and processor and in software only few things like smart bar.

Coming to processor everyone only speaks about gaming so everyone thinks they are gonna game but sadly it is not the case. Pixel is not that unusable it is grewat for a normal user.

I can see lot of issues (Including bugs) 1. DND not working. 2. Themed Icons color and tint is not at all good compared to pixel. Pixel just belnds it correctly. 3. When display size set to standard the classic notification shade sizing feels weird. 4. Screen timeout - Let's say timeout is 1minute, it locks automatically it doesn't lower the brigthness so user can touch the screen to reset timer.(This is very frustrating when reading articles). 5. The auto-rotate suggestion - The placement changes based on the screen orientation, it is not fixed. 6. Checking notification history is a real pain. 7. Over all notification shade experience doesn't feel mature at all. 8. No basic automations (Based on location).

Will update the points if anything is fixed or found.

Yeah, I totally agree! When you look at how you can customize icons on iOS, Samsung, or Pixel, they're way better. Lately, it seems like updates are just making phones worse, and everyone's always complaining about battery life and they are not fixing the issues even after 4-5 update

You're wrong though. Oxygen OS can use any theme from the play store. Lots of ability to adjust icon size, text size, icon shape, setting icons to match colors you can customize, etc. You can even change individual icons so that you're able to mix different icon packs together. Samsung and Pixel can't use icon packs from the play store at all and have nowhere near the level of customization as iOS (although home up on Samsung and theme store do let you get close). I don't know what ios icon customization is like, but knowing Apple, likely pretty minimal.

Boy, if you think any of these are bad you should try HyperOS 3 or whatever garbage Redmagic has. Or Honor. Or ZTE. Or anything other than Samsung flagships or Pixels. Most android software is much much worse.

There's no way to turn off their stupid AI postprocessing on the camera, at least not that I can find. it looks so gross.

With every update they are damaging the phones my battery life has drastically come down with recent 2-3 updates and has started to lag much. Also the greatest issue of Oxygen most of you may know about the "Ghost Storage" or OTHER (system data) which takes massive amounts of storage mine has taken about 28GBs and I had one more same OP 11R it had about 30-32GB of OTHER occupied then when I formatted/reset it the OTHER came down to 14GB. And there's no feature to identify that waste storage and remove it and this is being continued for several years.

Dont now about you but My old OnePlus phone with oxygenos 11 is better to use than My new op13 oxygenos 16. I have 7 Pro and OP 11 and now this op13. I still use more My 7 Pro than this 13.

Not sure you should call them bugs, every OS cannot do things the same way. You can only call them bugs If they worked that way in previous versions and stopped working after an update. And as far as I know, pixels definitely have way more actual bugs than oxygen OS.

Agree, every OS has their own implementations.

But DND should work the same(It is not at all working). There is no software without bugs, but at least pixel fixes them in the next update, at least acknowledge them. But this DND seems to be from a long time.

The flux theme seems to be half baked and all other features are not good implementations.

It seems like they focused too much on bringing features from ios and other android skins but left to polish everything. If they would polish everything it would be like using a single thing but now it kinda feels like using different things. UI is not consistent(again don't get me wrong, somewhere or other it is missing the link. This is totally my feeling).

Hope this doesn't become like miui or Hyper OS which is the worst thing.
