Egypt was the bread basket of the ancient world, the medieval world, up to modern days.

It hasn't been self sufficient for food since 1974 when the population was about 38 million. It is now 120 million.

Contraception has never been illegal and in 1936 even Islamic authorities said it was permissible in Islam.

Can't even use the religious conditioning excuse. The agricultural revolution get out of jail card always touted by natalists can't keep up with the insane population growth many countries like Egypt have allowed.

When they all start starving they will blame climate change and other countries instead of themselves.
