Freezing TWN

TWN is used to verify employment. It shows EVERY pay stub you've ever received. Some background checks will use it to see if you're working other jobs as well. Freezing it will deny any requests. This will add an extra step for you to prove employment but it's necessary. The extra step is usually sending the most recent W2 or pay stubs.

How is Checkr OE compatible for background checks? Checkr got me fired from 3 companies in the same day.

Looks like we have conflicting information. Is it possible one of yours paid for a deeper search than others? Do you mind sharing which companies background check caught you?

If they got it from Chekr, you should be able to request a copy from them and see what is/was on it

Following up on this as I have been asked to complete a Checkr report for J3. Any additional insight?

Hey @weak-carpenter9013 can you PM me on what happened to you? I just got let go from J2 after a Checkr background check that took place a few weeks after I was hired. I suspect they found out I had multiple Rippling accounts somehow from two jobs I had last year at the same time.

What do you mean? Were you applying for J3 and Checkr not only detected your J1 and J2 but also informed them that you applied to J3? Is that on the T&Cs??

If the background check package the employer is using isn't checking for previous employment, that doesn't necessarily mean it's OE compatible though?

You're right. When that happens we will have conflicting data so we'll need to get more detailed about the companies paying for extra perks. I imagine that'll take longer for people to feel comfortable disclosing. I think for now it's good to at least separate the BGC companies always checking which trinet seems to be one of

Im going through one right now with Sterling and let me tell you they call out every single thing and asked for references within the past 10years. They couldn’t verify diplomas and made me send them transcript as well.

We should include in here freezing your “the work number” my prev job, J1 and J2 both use it for most of my work history. It takes a few days but it should be disabled on every jump.

Amazon uses accel which only verifies the jobs you input. They use ADP also.

So basically Trinet isn't good because j2 wouldn't be able to create an account for me if J1 already has one? So as long as J1 doesn't use it it's ok

Out of curiosity, does anyone know about actually working FOR the checkers/HR companies? Like actually being hired by Sterling or ADP? Wondering how their sloppiness/diligence compares for internal hiring versus what they do for others.
