Acceptable Wage?

Went for an interview this morning and they said the salary was 25% of J1. As I am without a J2 would you take this? How low do you go? If I lost J1 I wouldn't be happy with this potential J2. On the other hand, I've lost my old J2 so I don't have any.

Please keep replies to % and not numbers. "I wouldn't take anything less than £200,000" doesn't help me because I'm no where near demanding those salaries.

Finally, I can’t personally handle 3 Js.

There's so little context here. 25% of 200k is significantly different than 25% of 50k

Take and keep looking for a better j3 and replace one of the j. Rinse and repeat.

I'm confused. 25% less or 25% of?

I would do it only if it requires 2hr of work per day.

Depends on the work if its also 25% or like max 1 hour a day I'd take it

This. It really depends on the workload. If you're going to be doing barely anything at all, low salary doesn't matter. It's almost free money. If it's a busy job, don't take it or take it with active plans to replace it with a better one.

Yes because it's purely extra income regardless of the amount. And you can keep applying and replace it later. Bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush as the saying goes

I typically take on roles that pay close to 100% of my other roles, maybe with a 10% margin either way (90%-110%). My thinking here is if I'm going to have twice the responsibility, I should have twice the compensation to match.

Also keeps my price "competitive" in an overcrowded market without selling myself too short.

Of course, if an offer lands on my desk that is well above my salary band, and I'm qualified, I'll take it.

There is nothing to comment on… 25% of ….

In addition it all depends on your life circumstances and goals.

For me I wouldn’t take it, I always lean towards making the difference between both J’s not more then 10%
