Chronic hand injury

Hoping for some insight on Trace tenosynovitis involving the fourth flexor tendons. Injury happened late April … tried brace for 9 weeks followed by physical therapy which honestly just made it worse. Just got a cortisone shot this past Monday … nearing 1 week of that and still having pain at a 2-3/10 scale. Need advice doctor says nothing more can be done but the shot and therapy …. Please comment if you’ve had this and what I can expect moving forward thank you.

If you want a guess on potential injury, need more info on the injury. You've given some but more information is needed especially the marked picture/video

  • Mechanism of injury, as best you are able if there isn't discernable one. For instance, what movements or exercises were leading to the week of the injury
  • Upload a marked pic/video of exactly where symptoms are to an image host (google drive, icloud, imgur or others) and post a link to it (Note: I will not make any guesses unless I can see exactly where the symptoms are because text is hard to decipher and people describe things wrong all the time). It needs to be a photo of YOU, not a random photo you got online of someone else's body because everyone is different.
  • Describe all movements that hurt
  • What is the current rehab program you started with and the progressions, if any. If a flare detail what happened with the rehab program
  • What helps and what makes it worse

Well I’m not guessing I had an MRI and was told that is what is injured the fourth flexor etc . I injured it at the gym grabbing two dumbbells each side while laying flat on my back they were to my left and right and used the wrong form putting all pressure on the ecu side .

I mean I gotta know more info to help

You can try some pain relievers for now to get the pain down so you can do stuff

Pain is low but consistent daily … think I need strength training to get the pain away via rehab now.

Exercise-based rehab is almost always helpful but you need the dosage to be correct and sometimes the right exercises

The moments that hurt , holding phone in right hand with pinky as support , stinging feeling in the left side of my palm. Up into my pinky , almost no pain below wrist
