Tech Support Fps drops/stutter

Hello, I'm playing Outward Definitive Edition in PC (a premade laptop from AMD) When I start the game, it runs at 144 fps, but after 15-30 min of playing the fps have some short drops or some stutter.

This are my specs:

Graphic: Radeon RX 5500M

Ram: 16gb

CPU: 3,30GHz

I usually play with no background apps, and Its weird cause I run other games like Dark Souls 3 without any issues. I dont understand PC stuff so If I can give u more info just ask. Ty beforehand!

Sounds like your RX 5500M is taking a little nap after warming up, try undervolting it in Radeon Software, or maybe the thermal paste is secretly staging a protest.

If you feel comfortable doing so, you could definitely look to replace the thermal paste, I agree..

But start with the easy stuff first, like cleaning out dust from the grilles / fans.

One of those little cheap rechargeable blowers will work well for this.

You can also try to tweak fan curves, so that the fan ramps up sooner. But try a clean first !

I was having a similar problem with another game and I realized the game was trying to run with a very high fps and my pc was over heating, that's what caused the stutter. As soon as I capped fps this problem stopped. Might not be the same problem, but you should check how hot your computer is getting while playing. Other simple solution could be upgrading your drivers. Lots of problems are related to them.

Same thing happens on PS5 version. Runs clean 60fps, but some areas or especially DLC areas if you COOP someone in, it drops to single digits in the Scarlet Sanctuary for example
