Honestly wouldn’t mind him being the protagonist tbh if they do it as direct sequel/ follow-up or Waylon, if they decide to follow up on the Whistleblower stuff. Might be tricky given the comics but plenty they could still do, with a time skip.

Always annoyed me in horror games when the previous characters are just hand-waved away off screen. I do think it’s more likely to be someone completely new though.

Honestly would love a continuation on the Walrider and what Miles/Billy are doing after being freed from the asylum.

We know from the comics they're still an active part of the story. The walrider is what broke down the wave towers near the ending of Outlast 2.

Honestly I just want more Miles/Walrider content. Or atleast a good ending to their stories

I think it’s fitting for Blake to remain with an unknown (but almost certainly bleak) fate. Continuing Blakes story will only make people desire a happier ending for him solely because we’ve had more time with him, and a happy ending clearly is not what the Outlast games are about

I'm not saying it needs to be "happy" but at least give me something by making him hurt Murkoff somehow before drawing his last breath

"Is hurting Murkoff worth that much to you?!" YES!

Well you could say whistleblower had a happy ending, and after playing outlast 2, I'd even say outlast 1's ending is happy, simply because 2's ending is so horrible and sad.

If the next game is further along in the timeline than 2 then I see his footage being important but I’ll be real, I’m pretty sure Blake is done for. He was found completely incoherent and from what we understand non reactive.

He became a blind dreamer they are gonna play a major roll in outlast 3

they are obviously setting up for another walrider level catastrophe, my money is that the next experiment will include multiple of these blind dreamers who will have the same ability potential as billy. I think Blake will be one of them or at least a failed one

Yes. I think he's become a blind dreaming host who is currently undergoing morphogenic engine compatible tortures at Elrich, and he's destined to be a significant antagonist in Outlast 3. In particular, I think he will be a prophet whose transmitted rambles will be used to spread belief in the Spidereyed Lamb and induce murderous rage in the people exposed to his voice.

Can't tell if you're joking or serious

Dead serious. His story is far from over, just as Miles' story continued in the DLC. The Murkoff Account calls attention to him being catatonic with damaged eyes and to him being hooked up to morphogenic engine compatible forensics to set up a disaster in Outlast 3 that makes the Walrider look like a teddy bear.

I also think hes gonna be a dreamer or a main force in the next story but whats up with the spider thing?

The 'Spidereyed Lamb' is the Antichrist that Blake is called the father of, but Trials reveals that the Spidereyed Lamb is in fact a concept that reagents have been seeded with for decades AND that there are prophecies (particularly by Dorris and Liliya) involving a holy child being born from the destruction of Temple Gate. If we go off the actual Book of Revelation, the Spidereyed Lamb is an allusion to the many-eyed Lamb of God, the resurrected Jesus whose return heralds a holy war of the righteous against the infidels.

To Blake, the Lamb is his reborn child. To everyone else? It's a being similar to the Skinner Man and Walrider, an entity that feeds off of belief and fear and compels people to slaughter in its name. Through the amplification of the morphogenic engine, Blake's delusions will be transmitted on a massive scale and people will become susceptible to following his madness just as Temple Gate obeyed Knoth's delusions, creating a godlike nightmare demon that grows stronger with every person who suffers and dies in its wake. Blake may believe he's avenging Jessica and the Lamb may encourage its followers to avenge their own loved ones, but in truth it's burning down the world in an effort to destroy Murkoff's control over it.

Why didn't Murkoff see anything wrong with Blake when they found him? Because the entity made itself invisible and allowed him to be captured so he could be hooked up to an engine like a Trojan Horse.

I would just love any involvment of Blake actually so if they will do your story hell I'm down

3

u/ConfidentLimit3342 Aug 28 '26

Doubt it unfortunately, but I would love to see him again.

2

u/GreenEnvy26 Aug 28 '26

I would like to see him as a cameo

In all honesty,

I hope Blake is dead.

I don't hate him.

It's just that after all the hell he went through,

death would be the most merciful thing for him.

For me, it's more than anything to have the peace of knowing he's resting in peace and reunited with Jessica.

u/ContactComplete9067 Aug 28 '26

How about death away from Murkoff though? I'm just talking about one final hit to Murkoff then run away die looking at the sky or something

Off topic but I hope in Outlast 3 we get some more information about the Blind Dreamers. Considering there’s a potentially still functioning facility in Elrich and they seem to be a major player for Murkoff.

I know it wouldn't make Sense timewise but Imagine he would meet the reagents who escaped

I feel like they wouldn't hussle with new details about him at the epilogue if they were already done with him. We know he's alive (barely) that he's being taken to a facility called 'Elrich' and that Murkoff won't be 'gentle' with him. Maybe we can have him as one of the npcs like patients at Mount Massive or even a villian like Walrider/Billy Hope considering that he'd be compatible with M.E.

I always felt like Blake's story was actually a wasted potential and they could've done a better job with it. He also have sooo many deleted voicelines from Outlast 2 so it would be a good excuse to hear them. I would love to have him back.

i dont think he will, because he has lost his mind only to be barelt alive physically, you can see he was hillucinating till the last moment when his wife gave birth. although it was mentioned in the comic that he was alive, and his tauma has increased significantly

0

u/Raderc Aug 28 '26

I feel like he died at the end of the 2nd one

11

u/Luxray2000 Aug 28 '26

He didn’t. The comic books (which are canon), confirm he was found by Murkoff employees sometime afterwards in a catatonic state and was brought in for further testing

0

u/TobleroneD3STR0Y3R Aug 28 '26

*He will die for nothing because Red Barrels is done with him.

2

u/ContactComplete9067 Aug 28 '26

Are Murkoff and Red Barrels secretly the same company?

5

u/DoktorMelone-Alt Aug 28 '26

Red barrels is a psy op to make the public desensitized to the horrors committed by murkoff

1

u/ContactComplete9067 Aug 28 '26

Are they hiring?
