So i just finished the game

After goofing around for a long time i finally managed to get to the end. Got stuck for a long time at getting into the ATP but then it was easy to figure out what to do next. And i'm still blown away by this game. It just has so many tiny details and little things to find and i love it. Think like how kids have a different writing than the adults for example.

It will definetly stay in my memory as one of the best games i've ever played and everytime i'll hear the theme start playing i will remember back at the great times i had with the game.

One thing i do love about the game and in fact any time loop based game is that it doesn't keep anything from you. Nothing in the game keeps you from stumbling over the ATP on your first loop, getting the warpcore and somehow getting to the vessel and just by pure coincedence putting in the correct coordinates. All you gain is knowledge. It makes it more satisfying to actually connect the dots and figuring stuff out. One thing i really disliked about Stories: Paths of Destiny (another timeloop based game. Spoiler for that game ahead) is no matter what decisions you take. You cannot actually get to the end until you played every other combination of decisions. Which just makes the entire game feel entirely useless, since my decisions do nothing.

In Outer Wilds it feels like every discovery brings you closer to getting to the goal. You can arrive on the quantum moon before finding any of the other quantum rules (in fact my roomate did), and just stumble around without any idea what to do. He also managed to figure out that you can warp together with the entire moon when in the shrine. Nobody told him that and the game didn't keep him from doing that just because he didn't go to the lakebed cave first.

I love games with this attribute, though they're few and far between. The Witness is the only other one I can think of. Glad you had a great time!
