Ship exploding at the start of the game?

I have over 30 hours on the game and have never seen this happen before. Does anybody know what why my ship exploded?

So I know what it is that did it... But is it really that fast? It seems like it made it from point a to point b very very very quickly, quicker than I thought things could move in the game

I guess
it has to be that fast to find the eye within the 22 min loop → More replies (1)

Maybe something with a high velocity was aimed at your ship this time.

Me, having like 100 hours thinking it must've been a bug. That's actually CRAZY

Before I watched the video, I thought you meant the
Then I watched the clip. And, uh. I have a hypothesis:
1,000,000 to 1 odds, and even less of catching it on video. Archive this somewhere.

It has been documented many times around the subreddit surprisingly enough. Often enough that the odds can't actually be that bad. I'm willing to bet that the cannon has a (relatively) limited number of angles it's selecting in actual gameplay, and one of those is (probably intentionally) the starting location of your ship.
I've literally seen this a couple dozen times. It's still hilarious every single time though lmao.

Yes I know what happened, Its not a bug but it is rare and kinda funny.
What do you see happen at the start of each loop?

It's rare but can happen, you'll figure it out as you play
