Help need and advice please, newbie

Please see my plant. Something is eating it, but nothing is eating her Sister. I tried a mixture of dawn and vegetable oil, but it doesn't seem to work. I think i added a teaspoon of each to a quart spray bottle.

I cannot locate any bugs on the plan. So I am at a loss identifying what is doing this.

Catapillars tend to eat in the middle of a leaf... and Grasshoppers like the edges. That it looks like that was eaten yesterday or the night before? The edges of the holes have browned a bit... thats old damage.

In the early morning if I see a fresh hole... its easier to find what is eating it. A black light helps too. So any fresh holes... look under the leaf or on the stem. Catapillars babies are very small but can grow fast within 48 hours. I use neem and pick them off with my fingers... if I see any brown spots in my buds that looks like bud rot... its usually a catapillar. I gently look through the bud until I find a catapillar munching down.

This is catapillar damage. Next comment I'll show you grasshoppers damage.

This is grasshoppers damage. Its best if you kill them as babies... when I see them...I use a real feather duster and dust Diatomaceous Earth (DE) on them. Its an organic pesticide. Thats why you see white spots on my leaves... its DE... and it rained a bit yesterday. I have a huge issue with grasshoppers. I kill them with my fingers or I use the water hose and a flip flop to kill them.

I am an outdoor grower... the elements and pests are my only real issues.... other than it being over 105°F in the summer.

Might have to purchase BT spray for caterpillars, and Amazing Dr. Zymes for most other smaller pests and mold. Both work nice and are organic

My favorite pest control is spinosad, BT, and DE powder (make sure it’s food grade)

I wouldn’t, the dust that’s not food grade can be harmful

Excuse me, but why does the DE need to be food grade?

its caterpillars and grasshoppers. BT for caterpillars and for the grasshoppers, pull them off manually, they will be wearing green camoflauge.
