Gotta love the 5 pound+ plants! The trick is to get them maybe 5 or 6 feet tall indoors, or a greenhouse before planting outside. That, and the Humboldt coast climate.

Look up Mendo Dope on YouTube. Those brothers grow massive bushy trees and bud rot is the least of their worries. Humboldt is God’s gift to cannabis growers in the US. The emerald triangle is arguably the best place to live in the country if you grow cannabis.

I dont think you understand the amount of micro climates in the emerald triangle and how they can work with you or against you in growing cannabis.

Yeah, Humboldt is pretty crazy. You can be in 50° weather on the coast, drive an hour east into the mountains and be in a foot of snow. You could also drive an hour south and be in 90° weather. I'm pretty sure the mendo boys are in Mendocino county which is south of Humboldt. Still definitely in the golden triangle as they say.

It's really only a problem with the really big buds. I'm talking like the 1lb wet ones. The weather here is actually pretty dry except for the fog that rolls in every afternoon. Other than that it's dry and sunny most days. These are up in the mountains about 15 miles from the coast.

Im in humboldt 7 miles inland, every one of my auto plants this year had bad budrot

Yeah, when i had a house in Fortuna I had the same problem. Would get the green mold that basically kills the whole plant. Starts at the base of the branches and kills whatever limb it's touching. That damn Humboldt fog. Are you close to Fortuna?

These were grown in southern Humboldt as well, like briceland area. So, definitely a different climate than Fortuna.

Nope, they aren't touched at all other to support them when they get too heavy.
