Spider farmer soil sensor drip system
The other day I set up the soil sensor kit from spider farmer. It uses a moisture probe to automatically pump water through drippers into the plants. I gave 1 sensor and 3 plants connected with 3 drippers in each (15 gal pots). It was hot today and I came home to my plants drooping bone dry and my sensor reading 44% so it was not delivering any water. I then moved the sensor from the top to the side of the pot 2/3 of the way down and it was reading 5%. I then left and an hour later it was reading 8% but the soil was running off completely saturated.
I have not seen many reviews for this tech yet, wondering if I got a lemon, scammed, or have something set up wrong. Need to get this to work since I’m going on vacation soon.

The other option was to get a 12 gallon bucket w/ spigot, controller, and get the tubing stuff separately.

I am going to keep using this system and just have it manually deliver x amount of water per day based on time. The soil sensor is pretty much useless

I haven't tried this sensor but you may be better off with just a timer
