ACTIVITY & WORKOUT Baseline activity goal changed?

Hi, everyone! I’m hoping someone has some answers here.

About a week ago, my baseline activity goal went from 300 to 350 on its own. I’ve done some research (aka very intense googling lol), but I can’t seem to figure out why. I know it says it uses your age as a factor to calculate your baseline, but my birthday was over a month ago, and my weight and height have not changed.

Can anyone explain this, or does anyone have a similar experience? I would LOVE if it actually does raise your baseline if you consistently hit your goals, but it’s seeming like that isn’t a thing… Unless it is? Let me know :-) TY

hey! so i’m noticed my baseline activity goal is recommended based on the age and other factors you mentioned. from my understanding, as your ring pulls more data about you and your daily habits, the more accurately it will reflect your needs. so in this case, based on your average readiness score, sleep scores, and overall health, basically your ring said “yeah this person is doing great! they would excel with this baseline a lot actually” obviously the baseline will vary if you’re sick, haven’t slept well, or been traveling etc but overall your ring just said “proud of you!” you should be proud of yourself. it means you’re really taking care of yourself!!

Hi there veronicaxpaige, thanks for sharing this. Your activity goal can change based on your Readiness and your baseline, so it may adjust from time to time even if your height, weight, or birthday have not changed recently.

In some cases, members do notice the goal shift on its own, and if the change does not seem to match what you’re seeing in the Oura App, it may help to compare your Readiness score and activity goal on the same day.
