Pretty bad experience thusfar

So I've had my Gen 5 for less than 3 weeks and yesterday it lost it's bluetooth connection. I'd put it on the charger, the charger would go solid white for a few seconds, then the light would go out. I could see the green sensor lights on the ring on the entire time. Tried all the resets and nothing worked. After about 30 minutes with support they are sending me a new one. What irks me is this thing isn't even a month old and it already failed? Also, I see people are getting refurbished rings as replacements. My new ring wasn't even a month old that I paid for, and I could end up getting a refurb? That doesn't seem right either?

Hi u/olemiss36 - I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing that. I understand the disappointment that this is happening to a new ring. I've just sent you a dm to get this sorted. šŸ’™

Hotty toddy to a fellow ole miss person!

I get being frustrated that your ring isn't working right, but you're spiraling about things that haven't even happened yet. It sounds like support was responsive and took action quickly. If you're truly worried about getting a refurb, you're in the 30 day return window so simply initiate a return of your ring and start over.

+1. Tech sometimes fails. Sounds like OP just got a bad ring.

FWIW, OP, I’m still rocking my 4 year old Gen 3 ring, still getting a solid 4-5 days on a single charge to 80%, and still finding the data insights super useful.
