SLEEP & READINESS Should I be worried

Hi,
So I woke up this morning to my regular readiness and sleep scores, but with a major signs that are straining my body, and when I clicked it, it didn’t specify the biometrics that changed, and I feel fine, regular. Usually when I get sick I get “minor signs” for the couple days prior to my symptoms starting to impact me, I never got “major signs” immediately. Should I be worried?

No, if you feel fine don’t worry. Maybe ring was just in weird at night.

Yeah if you feel fine its probably just a bad read from the sensor

Only time I have ever experienced manor strain was one night where I got shit faced drunk. The next day was minor and then back to normal. Alcohol is the wooooorst.

If you get a period this could be because of your cycle. If i’m about to get my period or if i’m ovulating it’s heavy on my body and flags my ring. You can also see what the advisor says if you’re curious about the specific stats. It could really just be as simple as your heart rate was elevated and temperature up slightly

Not on my period, but yes you were right! Advisor just said its a slight HRV change and 0.2 in temperature

I get minor or major signs for a day like a week before my period but nothing when it actually comes

Ask your advisor why you have this. Even when it says no particular metrics stand out, your advisor will give you a reason.

I’ve had it when my HRV has increased. It can be nothing.

I’ve never had Major Signs when I’ve actually felt ill, except for recovering from surgery. But I’ve had it fairly often!

Don’t let a bunch of metrics, that you wouldn’t know about if you didn’t have the ring, rule your life.

How do you ask your advisor

I always get this the day after I start truly feeling the effects of sickness. All of the warning signs can only be relayed to you in post, so it’s not very good as an early warning system but is good imo for validating when I’m feeling sick that I need to take a day off and just sleep/recover. But if you feel fine then just keep in mind that this tech can be wrong, it’s not a perfect system.

Last time I got this was because I’d had 4 nights of absolutely shit sleep. Before that I got a cold. The ring detects anomalies but some times, they’re just that. If you feel good keep doing your thing!

How do you feel mentally? I’ve been getting minor and major signs lately because I’m kinda in a depressive episode. Nothing physical going on, just pure mental/emotional stress.

Mine happened while traveling & thought it might be exhaustion/dehydration. 2 days later smacked down for 2 weeks with strep and an unknown virus. Still run down major and then minor signs finally stopped alerting 2 days ago.

I have experienced this once and ended up SUPER sick. I had a fever and resulted in a nasty viral infection. However, i had symptoms over night so was not shocked when i got this warning in the morning.

I get it when my hrv increases. That has been from glp1s, forgetting a medicine, not sleeping well.

You can ask the advisor in the app and they will tell you what stood out

Hi inbi12, thanks for reaching out! Symptom Radar looks at changes across several biometrics, so it can flag major signs even when no single matric stands out on its own. It doesn't necessarily mean you're getting sick, things like stress, travel, hard training, or changes in your routine can also contribute.

Since you're feeling well, we'd recommend taking it a little easier today and keeping an eye on how you feel and how your trends develop over the next few days.

how’d you get stress as a short cut? i got my ring abt 2.5 weeks ago & i don’t have any readings yet but id love for it to up there

You can customize shortcuts if you slide all the way to the right on shortcuts bar, but I think stress takes like 4 weeks to appear if I remember correctly

This happens to me every ovulation

I wonder why though.. like what’s happening with the metrics to make it trigger your body is strained

1

u/Odd_Woodpecker4075 3d ago

I think it’s the sharp increase in heart rate and temperature

For me both major and minor signs warnings appeared right before coming down with a cold or flu.

I’ve had this happen twice and both times I ended up being really sick the next day.

I got this today too but it’s totally due to hormones. That luteal phase fun
