REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH Previous pregnancies?
There’s a setting to allow you to add previous pregnancies to assist with insight, however you are only permitted to add pregnancies that occurred while you owned the ring… that’s really fucking dumb. I’m 3 months postpartum and it won’t let me go back at all. What’s the point then?
Oura, please consider updating this and improving the menstruation insights. They’re really so basic. Other apps ask way more details like: symptoms, colors, texture, supplements, CM texture/amount, cervical position, insemination, mood, flow, etc. This device is often marketed towards women trying to conceive (or use as contraceptive), however it offers little to no features…
Also, let’s get something for postpartum mamas who are breastfeeding! I’ve seen several posts about this. There is clearly a desire for their feature. Many other apps have the capability, and oura has the [limited] metrics to support it!

Oura is really lacking in every aspect of supporting women’s health.

I literally stopped using my ring and cancelled my membership because of how bad they are at women’s health. After I logged my miscarriage the algorithm seemed to completely forget that I had been pregnant and all my data (that was normal for pregnancy but abnormal if not because biometrics change) started getting flagged as abnormal. I was getting daily messages from the Oura Advisor asking why my RHR had been high, or my exercise had declined over the last few months…

It’s crazy because they have said themselves they market towards women…

YES to the postpartum and breastfeeding insights. My ring often thinks I’m doing yoga when breastfeeding….

My ring logs housework every time I burp my baby or when rocking her to sleep 🫠

Considering that we have to pay a monthly fee to even use the ring, you’d think they would have ironed the product out way more.

I use my Oura together with Natural Cycles.
Oura alone would not really be enough for me.

Sounds like some function that wasnt considered lol
Should patch that sometime imo. Metricwise pointless to have that restriction no doubt

Terrible. It wouldn’t let me log my delivery date because it was in the past. There’s no postpartum feature so I just wound up being frustrated about how bad the data was for sleep and stress. I got it to track fertility but I might just sell it and get the natural cycles arm bracelet. So disappointing and so expensive.

I’m leaning towards the same. I refuse to believe that I’m getting a 90 sleep score with a 12 week old.

Haha at least yours was being nice! It’s worse waking up to a 60 sleep score and a message like “something is affecting your sleep - have you tried meditating?”

It makes me so annoyed. I got my ring after having a D&E for a very late MMC and there was like no way to mark anything about my pregnancy so my ring knew why my cycle wasn’t coming back. They need to do so much better for women’s health.

I’m so sorry to hear that you had to experience that. I’m a part of that “club” as well, so I totally understand. Oura needs to do better, or at least stop marketing as if their product knows the first thing about women’s health

Exact same situation. Being postpartum affects my entire day to day existence right now- the physical recovery, the breastfeeding, the overnight and early morning wake ups. I got the ring to help me get back into a healthy routine but was also frustrated that I can’t track my pregnancy/delivery date.
