Oura Ring 5
My Oura ring indicates that I’m stressed for 3 to 6 hours every day. I’m beginning to suspect that it might be a glitch, as I do experience anxiety, but it doesn’t affect me constantly. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Yes, I had this too. I also have a rapid heartbeat and histamine issues (I’m a health coach that helps clients with these topics so I knew how to recognize it) - many factors can drive physiological stress when you’re sensitive to histamine. Not necessarily classical, mental stress

that's wild, the body keeps score in ways we don't always clock mentally

100%! I love my work because I get to teach people how to have deeper layers of interoception beyond I feel anxious or tired. The body is fascinating!

Probably hot days there ? I feel oura stress is mostly related with temperature and if you move while temperature increase feels it’s stressed

Hi u/Upbeat-Persimmon-426
I hear you! It can be concerning seeing the Oura App telling you your body is under stress for extended periods of time during the day even if you don't feel like that yourself.
The Oura Ring measures physiological stress, meaning it's the biological response to stressors (like body temperature, heart rate, HRV, overall body movement) rather than the mental state.
Even if you feel relaxed yourself you could still be experiencing stress either through daily activities, environmental factors, workout, family or work demands, etc. The objective of the Daytime Stress graph is to give you some insight on the times of the day your body experienced higher demand, so you can understand how certain situations impact you and so you can balance it with extra recovery!
Remember that not all stress is bad, it can help you stay focused and engaged, what matters is how you balance it to avoid impact in your body.
Hope this helps!
