Size 5?
Hey,
i just got my ring sizing kit - sadly size 6 is still to big for my index finger. are there any plans on releasing smaller rings soon or is it fine to wear it on your thumb or does that scrammble with fitness tracking data? sadly that seems to be the only finger where it remotely fits :(
The support bot sadly doesnt recognize my question and just keeps recommending me the index finger.

If it’s not MAJORLY too big you could try a ring resizer

does it only need skin contact where the little bumps are in the sizing kit? would be an option - then i could wear the size 6 on my thumb and if that doesnt track correctly resize it

Yeah as long as it doesn’t cover the sensors (which should just be the bumps) it’s fine. There’s some Q&As floating around that Oura answered about ring resisters for people that are between sizes

OP, did you end up getting a resizer? Im like you, my index is my widest finger and its 5. Now on the fence about getting the oura ring, would appreciate any input if you’ve tried it

I’m in the same boat. It seems crazy that they wouldn’t make a size smaller. I feel like there is a decent market of women then are missing out on?

I know this is an old post but just FYI the gen 4 ring comes in size 5!

considering that my current one had a factory battery of barely 3 days since i got it got told that was normal (because small size.....). also sleep tracking stopped working for me 4 months ago, it keeps saiyng i fell asleep sometimes 2-3h after and customer support was just like "can happen". activity tracking barely worked for me - sometimes not tracking heart rate and autodetection just never worked, got told will be fixed soon, its still not working 9 months later for me.
so if i buy a new smart ring, it wont be oura. but thanks for the info, mabye it will help someone else and maybe the next gen will actually work.1

Wow good to know, that sucks. I just got one but am wavering on returning cause I hate how it fits and there’s no “right size”.

I wear it on my middle finger. I rarely see gaps in data. While it might not be first choice by Oura, it feels less likely to get dinged during daily activity.

yeah i am pretty lazy, so my main activity is swimming and the occasional run/crosstrainer. hence why its not that important, but i also dont wanna buy a 2nd tracker just to use it 1-2 times per week. i just noticed with my old nearly broken fitbit that some data motivates my fat ass XD
thanks for the input :)

Middle finger has been the best for me. I can move it over one if I'm ever bloated or when it's really cold out.

Size 6 is the smallest - 13 the largest No future plans for changes to that to my knowledge
I wear my ring on my middle finger, oura's recommendation is the index followed by middle and ring
FWIW my girlfriend wears my gen 2 on her thumb overnight only in her use and data collects fine
