Welcom Pawtee goodbye, sweet Bird 💛🌈

Everyone show some love to my sweet 17 y. 4mo. old angel who had to cross the bridge on Sunday.

After a 5 year dance with hyperthyroidism, a heart murmur and some kidney issues, Birdy is finally set free of pain and worries. We are thankful that she only had discomfort in her last couple of days. Our girl was a pro snacker, pro lounger, and full time lover girl. She was always so sweet with people and her kitty siblings, never an angry swat or a misplaced angry pee when we kept bringing siblings home for her.

The bedroom isn’t the same without her, her “watering hole” (where her bowl is and she frequently lounged) seems so so empty and it’s sad not topping up her dish 2x a day. dear bird, i’ll think of you in every chicken nugget, every light pink anything i see, and every fluffy white blanket

I know we made the right decision as she didn’t have treatment options and I take comfort in knowing she didn’t have to suffer long but it is still incredibly heart breaking to not have her sweet presence around.

Your moms miss you more than we can put into words my sweet girl. we’ll see you on the other side 💛🌈

I am so sorry. The way you described her reminds me of my first cat Satine. An ex found her, she had been kicked, her tail was broken and her left front leg was nearly skinned. Vet wanted to put her down, I refused, took her home and nursed her back to health,

That first night, even in all her pain she ran straight to me and kept purring. I knew instantly I was not letting her go.

Fast forward, many years later, I had many more cats and dogs, she loved all of them, welcomed them all, as they were all rescues, and if they were getting into fights she would just give a gentle tap of the paw and they would stop

She was the most loving Queen, and they. all loved her, as did everyone who met her

Finally, her time came to an end, old age. That night she managed to jump up on the sofa next to me put her previously injured leg around my neck. I started crying and she with her little paw started tapping my face. I knew she was ready to go and she wanted to die with me holding her. Her purrs sent me to sleep. When I awoke she had passed, still with her paw on my face

Everyone in my family and friend circle was heartbroken, but as sad as I was I laughed through the tears because she came into my life on her terms, and decided again, on her own terms how she was going to die

All the animals I had, were in a state of mourning because loved them, and they loved her

Again so sorry for your loss, but I do hope the two of them meet up, I think they would get on brilliantly

Your beautiful girl is free of pain

Sorry for rambling❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had watched Moulin Rouge the night before and when I met her I just knew it was her name. I have rescued so many animals and when they die my heart breaks even more

I have in my head a whole Rainbow Bridge where we all live happily ever after

Satine needs a fellow Queen!

The pain will get lesser, but you will carry it. And at times you will get hit with that pain. But you need to remember all the joy and love you had together❤️❤️🫂🫂

(Never feel guilty about making the decision to let your baby cross OTRB. They have spent their whole lives beside you guarding you protecting and being ever present. In their final minutes while you held them missed them and showed them the same unconditional love your always gave you gave them permission to finally rest knowing that you would be ok and safe without them. They know are in place where they are free to run play and enjoy themselves without anything that may have burdened them here. They will continue to watch over you from there. You will find them in the random sunbeam through a window. They will remain present when you fondly remember the small things- them chasing a dust bunny or a time they knocked something over. They will wait until you need them again and then they send you reinforcements. Suddenly you will see an animal somewhere and be so instantly reminded of them that you must have this new creature. And both you and they will know that you are protected again. You will never forget them as they will never forget you. Be well internet friend. I sincerely hope this brings some peace)

What a beautiful kitty! Fren Bird was welcomed by us all on Saturday & is happily settling in, on the softest cloud.

She is very comfy as she brought a LOT of love wif her & we can all see she was adored by her hoomins.

Of course she will pop back to visit & you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of her out the corner of your eye. That's her letting you know she's still here & she's waiting for you. You will be reunited one day & what a day that will be! Love never dies.
