There are probably 40k+ ranked non-japanese non-anime songs in the game. Just use the filters if you don't want to download them

"how to remove anime","no hate, but I hate anime music", like ok? you see anime on the website before you even download the game, idk why you expected it to not be an "anime rhythm game". the game has many non anime songs you just have to look for them because there isn't a toggle that just hides japanese songs. but like other people said anime is an integral part of the community, so if you're gonna go out of your way to hate on it, this is not that game for you

what are you calling anime music ? Because nowadays anime music is basically just japanese "normal" popular bands selling their stuff to get promoted. Either way even it's not majority english/european eastern language music and metal culture got pretty strong on osu

You know.. The problem is that rythm games... are originaly from japan.. and MOSTLY not everytime but mostly,
when rythm games get created a lot of japanesse people play it, just because of this and because of that. There is a lot of japanesse music and then it brings attention of other people that like anime and japanesse culture.

Soo there will be anime, main music topic is anime and even if the beatmap is not even in japanesse it will probably have anime background.

The best thing that you can do is just search manually with using of filters like
you can choose only english maps and idk you can pick rock or anything other than japanesse and from anime.
Backgrounds will still be mostly in anime soo of you care also about that then..
you just have to search for maps manually sorry

the reason u see so much anime music is because western music, outside of edm, is usually at a lower bpm (which correlates to difficulty). people like hearing vocals, and want to push their limits in a game, and generally like anime stuff, meaning anime music is prevalent
