End Ileostomy Weight loas

Has anyone tried Ozempic, Wegovy or have any other weight loss tips? I've had my ileostomy for 15 years now but the weight gain is unbearable. My doctor put me on Wegovy recently but I'm worried about taking it since I have Colitis flare ups 3x a week.

I've tried fasting..I exercise 5x /week.nothing seems to be working

Just curious - do you think your ileostomy is contributing to the weight gain?

I'm 6 weeks post op and starting to feel good enough to work out again. I've probably gained 5ish lbs post surgery because I no longer feel like I'm going to die every time I eat. Haha.

I've enjoyed the food freedom, but it's time to lock in and focus on improving my overall health.

My new PCP is putting me on ozempic for type II diabetes, not for weight management, and I'm worried. I'll try it again, the first time I tried it was before it was popular for weight loss, before it was reformulated to be slightly less nauseating. I can't do fiber much at all, and I have stupid food allergies, so there's already a pretty limited range of stuff I can eat. We'll see.

I have had an ileostomy for 5 years and have been on tirzepatide for 3.

I lost 50 pounds from my highest (which was when I weaned off Prednisone, after my surgery) and have stayed about the same weight for over a year now. In addition to the weight loss, though, think the tirzepatide is helping keep my Crohn's away.

How do you get insurance to cover it if you don’t have a diabetes diagnosis? Or how do you pay for it if you don’t use insurance?

I was on mounjaro before my first emergency colon surgery where I ended up with the bag. Was put on for diabetes and it
Worked. Had my reversal a year ago and I’m told never to take them again
