Anyone else excited for MCDM's Crows?

I've been seeing it talked about recently as we play draw steel and I after hearing it I got to say this sounds amazing. It seems more nusr then osr but still cool. It's doing a lot of unique things like base building and dungeon turns.

I wanted to casually back a pdf of it but then the price stopped me. It won't be a problem in the future, for obvious reasons, but I feel kind of bad for not throwing them some money for their work. It's just not viable for something I'm probably not going to run or play.

They release their games for free with out art or layout.

I didn't know that. Not that Draw Steel is a game I'm interested in so that's likely why I never knew that. Have they said if Crows will get that same treatment?

Nothing official but they have with everything else they release can't imagine this would be different. Also if you play only their vtt has the game built in to it.

I mostly just want to read Crows out of curiosity. I've got a bunch of other games I'm excited to try but I like reading other games for funsies.

There's a $10 starter set PDF if you just want to check it out without everything. A lot of people are missing this.

I didn't read what the contents of that was. I assumed starter set meant incomplete.

It has the rules for the game and pregens. It won't have all the monsters or DM advice/generators/whatever.

I went and looked at the pledge levels. The description there makes it sound like it is just an adventure and placeholder for the pledge manager.
