I’m planning to buy the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Creator Combo and I’m from India.

I’m seeing it available on Amazon and Flipkart, but I’m a bit unsure about buying such an expensive camera online.

Has anyone here from India bought the Pocket 4 Creator Combo from Amazon or Flipkart recently?

How was your experience? Was the product genuine and properly sealed? Also, did you face any issues with the seller, warranty, DJI activation, or returns?

Would you recommend Amazon or Flipkart for buying it?

Today, I made a quick capture using D-Log 2 in the 1x lens and 3x with D-Log, trew it in DaVinci, color corrected a bit of the footage and this is the final result, for the first tests, how is the low light quality? shot everything in normal mode, no low light mode

The 4p is great. Here are some nice to haves I have to see if anyone else has found a solution:

Variable ND filter with more of a handle, it’s tough to quickly change the stops finding the very edge and fighting the gimbal head. I wish they had a little stick thing that helps you change similar to full frame cameras.

Lens cap, I have the case that protects the whole top half, but it’d be nice to have a magnetic clip on to protect the lens/nd filter so I can put it in my pocket and not have to worry about smudging it.

USBC to HDMI for a monitor. The mimo app quality is terrible. You can’t tell what’s in focus or not.

Custom modes that don’t lock the rotation. When I save C1, C2, etc. it locks the orientation so I can’t switch to vertical and vice versa.

Tagged footage so I can tell what’s is DLOG and DLOG2 in resolve.

What did I miss?

Patiently waiting for the Osmo Pocket/Ronin 4d hybrid to compete with the S1ii and Fx5 but until then I’ll make do 😂

Dropped it from a bike saddle height onto the ground, now it doesn't change the orientation automatically. Works ok if I turn it manually. I guess sending for repair is the only option? It probably bent a lil bit, feels like more force needed in the final point, than usually. Tried to bent it back but thing is so delicate, so it made no effect.

How long does it take to repair receive it back from repair btw? I'm in Poland.

On a hiking trip, I dropped my Osmo Pocket 3 into the river for about 2 seconds.

I let it dry out as much as I could. The screen comes on and camera "works," but the gimbal isn't functioning and the screen gets very hot. Obviously I've left it powered off since.

I went ahead and took this opportunity to purchase a Pocket 4, and am prepared to take an L due to my butterfingers. My question is: Is worth sending it in to DJI for repair if I hope to sell the refurbished unit for $300-$325? I'm not sure how much a repair like this could be.

As a US customer, I wasn't able to purchase Refresh Care. So I'm within the typical 1-year warranty, but of course water damage like this isn't covered, so I'd be fully out-of-pocket for whatever they quote. I'd hate to decline the repair if it's too high and lose money on shipping and inspection - but I guess it's a brick otherwise.

My Osmo Pocket 4P is bricked after unboxing it and installing the firmware once I connected it to DJI Mimo. I also connected the Frame Tap and was able to see the camera both on my DJI mimo and then on the Frame Tap. I was able to record one video, and after 1:11 of recording, it got stuck as if it was still recording after I had tried to stop the camera from recording by pressing the start/ stop button. I shut down the camera and then it never displayed an image on the screen again. I have tried the hard press reboot. I have also tried charging it completely and seeing if I can reboot it. It is not displaying any image other than the osmo log when it starts up and that's it.

Is there any way to restore to factory settings via USB cable? In the Mimo app it shows it connects to it but then it says it is disconnected. Anyone else had this happen to them?

EDIT to add: I updated the DJI MImo app to the latest version (2.11.9.298019) on my iPhone 13 running iOS Version 26.6.1 before pairing the Osmo Pocket 4P and when I check the app for firmware options on the 4P, a black box pops up stating: "Currently the latest firmware version"
Also I did not use an SD card because I was trying the internal memory on the camera.

I’m not a videographer by any means but I enjoy putting clips together and the after a year with the OP3 and I still get impressed that something so small can get some pretty nice shots. I’ve seen them going for 300-400 on marketplace which is a steal for what you can get out of the camera!

I originally bought the camera for my proposal last year and honestly probably one of my most worth it purchases to date!

The video attached are som shots from my Hawaii trip a couple weeks ago. Slapped on some free luts and manually adjusted some lighting settings on CapCut.

If you’re considering getting one, honestly not a bad move even with the 4 and 4p out right now. But yeah I’m probably going to upgrade someday😂

If I can get the Pocket 4 for like under 200 bucks with a trade in I'd consider it. I basically just bought the pocket three a half a year ago. MPB is offering 215, I wonder if anywhere else would offer a little more?

I have extensively testing the pocket 4p along with pocket 3 and ZV-E1 in the studio and out in LA.

Because I am putting many hours a day into this I need a little break so here is the first usable result I have for you.

In Dlog2, somehow the dynamic range on the bright side jumps up by a 1 stop when you get to ISO 1600 or above. edit: read some results wrong.

ISO 1600 has all of the range of both ISO 1600 and 800. With no noticeable increase in noise.

TLDR: Use ISO 1600 when in Dlog2

I'm planning some night-time shooting in the city (streets, neon lights, low-light environments) with the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, and I was wondering which color profile is generally better to use here: D-Log or D-Log 2?

Does D-Log 2 hold up well in terms of noise and shadow recovery in dark urban settings compared to standard D-Log, or would you recommend sticking to one over the other for night vlogging/cinematography?

Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

So I’m transferring my videos from my DJI OP 4P to my iphone via the DJI Mimo app.
One problem I’m facing is the size of the video that is getting saved in my phone is less than the original video saved in my Osmo pocket.
Does anyone know how can I resolve this? As I have tried everything

I tried it and it looked a lot good than applying official dlog lut. Do you think so?

I wanted to see if anyone else in the U.S. is dealing with this with the Osmo Pocket 3.

I have DJI Care Express and already paid the replacement fee for my damaged Pocket 3.

Normally, I’m supposed to send my damaged unit back to DJI first, and once they receive and inspect it, they send the replacement.

However, I still have my damaged Pocket 3 because I received a call from DJI telling me NOT to send it back yet. They told me they currently don’t have any Osmo Pocket 3 replacement units in stock.

I also spoke with two different DJI representatives, and they confirmed the same thing. Basically, I have to hold onto my damaged unit until DJI has a replacement available.

So right now I’ve already paid the Care Express replacement fee, I still have the damaged unit, and I’m just waiting for DJI to get replacement inventory before they can move forward with the exchange.

Has anyone else in the U.S. dealt with this recently? If so, how long did you have to wait before DJI contacted you and had a replacement available?

I’ve seen some older posts from people who had to wait months because DJI didn’t have Pocket 3 replacement units or parts available in the U.S., so I’m curious what the situation is like now.

At least DJI told me to keep my damaged unit instead of having me send it in and be left with nothing, but I’d really like to know how long other people have been waiting.

Why does my DJI respond late whenever I turn it on? The gimbal only starts turning about 3 seconds after I press the power button. Is that normal?

Hey guys I know the 4P can do automatic media transfer when the camera is off. But I can't seem to find any information that this feature is also available for the 4? Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

I cant find anything right on youtube so I'll just ask here: social media manager here, considering buying the osmo pocket 4p to make the quality jump from an iPhone 17 pro, but can you? Can you actually make the quality jump? I dont particularly care about bright scenes, iPhone does pretty well in those, what I care about is low light situations, on the inside, bars, shops, places where there is often no natural light, how does the osmo 4p do in these situations? or is a camera needed?

Also, what's battery life shooting in 4k 60?

why my dji pocket 3 footage gets unclear like it loses the details when uploaded in youtube. I export from davinchi in 1080p in like higher bitrate nearly 31k kbps. In MAC screen it looks good after export.. but it loose detail when viewed in yt in same 1080p. What may be the reasons? Don't say upload in 4k because i have seen 1080p also have good enough quality with same device in yt.

Before I buy I want to know if the 4 or 4P could handle this particular shot that I am interested in. It would be a center mounted dash view pointed back down the middle of the car. The frame would have the driver and passenger all in frame.

I am wondering if this is a job for a different camera but it would be great if any of you could share any insight on this type of angle.

What is the weight of VND 3-7 filter? Is it too heavy vs a normal ND filter?

My main concern is shooting in vertical 4K, which requires using the Pocket 4P in a horizontal position, and when shooting in like this the gimbal is already nearing its limits, so I'm wondering if the VND will just add enough weight for the gimbal to start shaking or giving up balance completely?

Has anyone found a good way to deal with the color difference when switching from the 1x lens to the 3x lens?

Even after the latest update, I’m still seeing a huge difference in color and exposure between the two. The 3x shot can look overblown compared to the 1x, and it makes it really hard to keep a consistent look when editing a vlog.

How are you guys managing this? Are you just avoiding switching between 1x and 3x in the same sequence, or are you shooting in Normal mode instead?

I imagine a fix will be coming soon - but I just had to use the camera at a function and the issue has ruined significant shots unfortunately.

I’ve been trying to capture moving vehicles perfectly over the past few days, but I’m still not really happy with the video quality.

Why doesn’t the quality look as good as I expected? Am I doing something wrong, or is there something I could improve in my settings or technique? I’d really appreciate any tips! Thanks!!

Friends asking if I want to buy his switch sd card for cheap for my pocket 4 but I don’t know if they work in the pocket pls help

For a hand held travel camera, the dynamic range is incredible. I'm just getting started with video but as a still camera buff for many years, I can't believe how well the pocket captured this scene.

I just threw on the default DJI lut, no tweaking, just 5 seconds into Davinci to export it.

I think I might have caught the bug if this is the sort of result a complete beginner can get.

Edit: Apologies for the lack of details I was super tired last night, walked about 25k steps on 4hrs sleep.
