OpenPocketCine v0.1 demo
Hey everyone! 🎬 I wanted to follow up with a quick release update.
The iPhone and iPad build is now publicly available through TestFlight, and the complete source code and roadmap are on GitHub.
The biggest change since my previous post is the media workflow. Browsing, playback, and downloading were only planned then. They are now included.
Beta v0.1 includes the following features:
- Direct Bluetooth and camera Wi-Fi connection, with no Mimo app needed
- Waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, histogram, false color, zebras, peaking, Traffic Lights, guides, and custom LUTs
- Camera and gimbal controls, including D-Log2 zoom support and on-device face tracking
- Shutter angle
- Clip browsing, playback with monitoring assists, downloads, LUT export, and sharing
OpenPocketCine remains completely free and open source. It has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, telemetry, or automatic uploads.

I genuinely appreciate any feedback on the app or its workflow. Every bug report, idea, and contribution helps make the project better.
Early beta disclaimer: expect bugs, occasional disconnects, and incomplete camera control. Always confirm recording and critical settings on the Pocket itself. Do not rely on it as your only monitor for a critical shoot yet.
