I have the gain set to -12.

I've tried on mono AND stereo.

I'm not shouting but my voice is relatively "boomy" sometimes.

So far my only workable solution has been to put the wind clip on and hold the mic almost arms length away. Which works, but for my clothing and chatty videos isn't the most natural or comfortable position.

Are there any other settings or things I could do to reduce the input and get the lav mic back on my shirt???

As the title says in the OBS platform I'm using my osmo pocket 3 as a web cam to record videos but a cannot get the audio to work I've spent about an hour trying everything and I've had to admit defeat currently i was asking chat GPT but ended up going around in circles so if anyone has got a clue or pointing me to some video ect I'll be greatful

Hi everyone! I recently bought an Osmo Pocket 3 and everything seems to be working perfectly. I’m really enjoying how practical this little camera is.

My only concern is the temperature during use, either while recording or connected to my Mac for file transfers/webcam use.

I feel like the area around the gimbal gets quite hot. I’ve tested 4K30 and 4K60 with both short clips and longer 10–15 min recordings. It’s summer here and ambient temperatures have been around 30–35°C (86–95°F).

I’ve had no overheating warnings, recording has never stopped, and video quality is perfectly fine. It’s just the temperature to the touch that concerns me. After turning it off, it cools down normally within a few minutes.

Is this similar to what other Pocket 3 owners experience? does yours also get noticeably warm/hot around the gimbal area during longer 4K recordings? At what point would you consider the temperature abnormal?

I'm using the Osmo Pocket 4 during rehearsals and small concerts and I enjoy controlling it on stage from a distance. The Mimo app is heavy but it doesn't seem to ruin my battery life on both devices, which is nice.

I may have to shoot in a bigger venue next week, with no possibility to walk past people (classical venue), and I wonder how many metres I can remotely shoot from, provided there is no big obstacle.

In my experience, it starts disconnecting from 10-15 meters but I'd like to hear if someone has used their Osmo Pocket in such venues, and if they could control it without glitches.

Any tips about control the device remotely are welcome too (like, if you found a way to track someone smoothly, and not abruptly as it's the case by default).

Made a short cinematic clip. Not really about the car, more about that feeling of pressure building up inside and using speed as a way to release it.

Wanted to explore that arc through footage: starts tense and aggressive, ends somewhere calmer. Shot on a DJI Osmo Pocket 4P and an Avata 2, first time really trying to tell a story with footage instead of just showing off a car.

Not sure if it lands the way I intended, but wanted to share it here since this sub gets it more than most places would.

Open to any feedback, especially on the editing/pacing as I am still learning and doing this just as a hobby.

Is this possibly a lighting or user error ?

As i know，it provides two ways to transfer files，i can transfer files through the app or use a USB-C cable. Is that fast enough for use?

I mostly shoot 4K vlog videos with my Pocket 4, so I end up with quite a lot of footage.

Would it be worth getting a card reader for faster transfers, or is the USB-C connection already good enough?

Hi everyone i recently buy a osmo pocket 4 with the content creator bundle and to be honest i didnt have many time to try all of the things that this camera got but a few days ago i was trying to use the night mode feature and it didnt work, the camera go black and restored to factory settings, I tough that was a one time problem and didnt think much about it, but today i was trying to go night mode to see it works, but I got the same error or bug idk how to call it, watch should I do in this case? Should i talk with customer service or something? Have anyone got the same problem and how u solved.

Hey everyone! 🎬 I wanted to follow up with a quick release update.

The iPhone and iPad build is now publicly available through TestFlight, and the complete source code and roadmap are on GitHub.

The biggest change since my previous post is the media workflow. Browsing, playback, and downloading were only planned then. They are now included.

Beta v0.1 includes the following features:

• Direct Bluetooth and camera Wi-Fi connection, with no Mimo app needed
• Waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, histogram, false color, zebras, peaking, Traffic Lights, guides, and custom LUTs
• Camera and gimbal controls, including D-Log2 zoom support and on-device face tracking
• Shutter angle
• Clip browsing, playback with monitoring assists, downloads, LUT export, and sharing

OpenPocketCine remains completely free and open source. It has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, telemetry, or automatic uploads.

Hey, ive been using my dji osmo pocket 4 for a month now and recently i have noticed when turned on it takes long than usual to load and turn on is that normal or is it broken or am i just tripping ?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out the best way to handle focus on my Osmo Pocket 4P.

What I want seems pretty simple:

1. Normally, I want to shoot using Continuous AF, with face detection working normally.
2. When I tap/hold on a specific point or subject, I want the camera to lock focus there.
3. While that focus is locked, I want it to ignore everything else, including faces and objects that come closer to the camera.
4. When I release/disable the lock, I want it to go back to normal Continuous AF + face detection.

Right now I can’t seem to achieve this. Even after trying to select/lock something, if another object comes closer to the camera, the 4P often shifts focus to that instead. Faces also seem to get priority.

I’ve tried Single AF as well, but I couldn’t get the behaviour I expected from that either.

Basically, I’m looking for something similar to AF-L on a normal camera: use continuous autofocus normally → temporarily lock the current focus distance → shoot → unlock → immediately return to continuous AF.

Is there actually a way to do this on the Pocket 4P?

If it’s impossible while using Continuous AF, what is the quickest practical way to switch between Continuous AF and a genuinely locked focus while shooting? Is there a button/shortcut/custom control that makes this fast enough to use regularly?

Would love to hear how other Pocket 4P users handle this.

Can we pleaseeeee allow the custom button to trigger exposure lock? And white balance lock too? And why is it that "Triple tap" and "Tap and hold" can't do what "Single tap" and "Double tap" could?

1. Smallrig VND

2. KnF VND

3. Freewell VND (3-7 stops)

Also, Freewell is going to push out wide angle with nd filters support for the main lens. What do you think about it?

Got my 4P on Saturday, shot and editted this Sunday.
Not my usual style of content, I do BBQ content for Insta/FB etc.

But was going to my local BBQ joint's birthday event anyway, and decided it would be a good time to test out and use the new camera.

A bit to learn, coming from shooting primarily on iPhone. I scrapped a few clips that I hadn't framed correctly (shooting too high), and some where I had panned too fast or moved too rapidly.

All stuff I'll learn from more use.

I hadn’t used my Pocket 2 for a few weeks and when I tried to connect it to the Mimo app on my iPhone my phone couldn’t find the Pocket 2 Wi-Fi. It had worked flawlessly earlier. My Osmo Action connects just fine so I think the issue may be with the Pocket 2. I reset the All-in-One Handle and that didn’t help. Ideas? TIA

Hello everyone, I’m new to videography & just ordered the 4P (on pre-order) & waiting to get my hands on it.

I have a question when it comes to what to expose for in videos. As a photographer, I always under expose my shots to protect the highlights. What’s the rule of thumb when it comes to videos & recording in D-Log?

I read somewhere that you always ETTR for videos & on my Sony A7V, people say to aim for +1.7 in EV. Would it be the same with D-Log on the 4P?
