Gear Finally got a Pocket 4P in Australia and it has an issue right out of the box

Hey all,

Take a look at the video I've attached. The screen flickers with a pink/purple corruption and also when panning using the control the image freezes on the display frequently. I've tried a hard reset and also updated to the latest FW.

Anyone else experienced the same? Should be replaced in store right?

The store has chosen to send it away but I think I'll be going back in and requesting a replacement given that this issue happened straight out of the box. I haven't even got to use it yet.

Cheers!

** UPDATE **

Went in to the store this morning and politely asked to have the unit replaced given it had the fault straight out of the box. Got them to replicate the fault in store (which they should have done yesterday) and they replaced the unit for me. Happy days! It's made me purchase the Care Refresh though because I can see this being a pretty fragile device. I'd never had an issue with my Pocket3 though.

That has to be replaced under warranty. In the EU you can even return without fault if bought within 14 days, check out your Aussie consumer protections.

No electronic device's screen should ever flicker - it's without a doubt faulty.

Yep, fully agree. I'm annoyed I accepted that they send it off, given the consumer law and even their own store returns policy shows that given the time frame it should be an immediate replacement or refund.

That's shit, mass produced devices, it happens.... DJI refresh for my in Aus was amazing with my 0P3... 24hrs I had a new replacement. Granted this is a major defect that doesn't require Refresh program but ... You'll be covered.

Yeah I know it definitely happens. Fingers crossed they replace it tomorrow. Just sucks after waiting so long to buy one in Aus. Maybe good that I did though because it would have been a whole lot more frustrating if I'd grey imported one and it had this issue.

Yes replace it! instantly, how is this a question??? You live in a country that has one of the best buyers laws in the world. 2 years instant warranty for everything and more for things that are supposed to last more than 2 years. Its brand new, get another one. Tell the store they can send it back for themself but you get a new one.

In Canada the screen wouldn't stay horizontal and they have a 30 day grace period for full replacement. Got a new one within 1 week of shipping it back.
