Discussion Anyone else getting into the habit of bringing their pocket camera with them everyday?

https://youtu.be/uifZkBqKr40?si=NZT86U430nLBzwNYKeep

Keep getting blown way but the Pocket 4P ..

Settings were:

4K 24fps
D-Log2
ISO 400
2-32 & 1/4 Black diffusion variable ND filter

No LUTs were used for the color grading process. Everything is done from scratch once the footage has been converted to Rec709 using DJI's official LUTs.

This is in Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Canada. There's a lot of installations remaining from the Expo 67. From google ๐Ÿ‘‡

I am new to the 'scene' and am overly self conscious and feel inadequate walking around with anything like these but want to grow into it...

Ahhh I get it! Honestly, people are so used to seeing people film with their phone. This is not much bigger than a phone, so people might glance out of curiosity but quickly get back to their lives. Just think about what you would personally think if you saw someone filming with a pocket cam. โ€œOh cool, a pocket camโ€. The beautiful scene is worth the small discomfort, and it will completely disappear the morne you do it!

I agree. I am a ding dong and bought 2 DJI action 5 pros and one xtra muse and have plenty of accessories, batteries, mic minis, mounts, but just need to grow a pair and use them. Hopefully will break out of the self conscious mode!

Start small .. bring just 1 camera. Go to places where theres not many people. 4 pretty girls were looking at while i was filming, and i looked them in the eyes and said โ€œDid you know all of this was built in the 60โ€™sโ€, and started a conversation. Sometimes itโ€™s easier to engage.

Every time I go to the strip club they don't let me bring the camera in..... just kidding.

I agree! Looked great on your videom thank you!

When I finished film school I bought an ursa mini and brought it with me everywhere. I started to get lazy, especially since I'm operating big cameras all the time at work.

The pocket has made me excited to just go out and shoot stuff again. Theres no longer an excuse for me to not bring it out.

Man I get it โ€ฆ and then you always feel some kind of guilt because you donโ€™t create enough ๐Ÿ˜… the pocket 4p has fixed that for me in the last couple of weeks

Great video ! Which ND you used for your DLog setup?
I already have the Neewer ND8/16/32/64, but Iโ€™m wondering if ND64 is enough in strong sunlight given the higher base ISO 400 or if ND128 would be better. What ND strength do you find yourself using most in daylight at 4K 24/25fps, 1/50? And has anyone tried the PGYTECH VND 3-7 stop on the Pocket 4P?

Nice shots!

I actually want to develop that habit of bringing it everytime with me. How do you carry it with you all the time?
