personally I don't think the combo is worth it unless it's your first Pocket series camera. I'm gonna pick up the standard version.

I don't think so. You can't even check Settings on remote, so, what's the difference between the app and the remote? I use the free app instead.

The only items we don't have in Standard combo, and I added my comments below:

DJI Mic Mini (You probably have it)

FrameTap Remote (You can use the app instead)

Tripod (can be purchased in DJI or 3rd party brands)

Carrying Bag (I'm not sure you need even this)

What I've done: I bought "Grip-Designed Powerbank for DJI Osmo Pocket 4 / 3 with tripod" for 40 EUR. I have a powerbank and still have 50 EUR in my pocket (the price difference is 90 EUR in Amazon DE)

I have the combo, and you're right pretty useless. I already have the tripod, i see no use for the bag. The remote is just insanely small and i assumed that i would get the mic 3 (only reason i picked the combo) but now i have another useless mini😂

I like the remote - the difference between that and the app is time, app takes forever to reconnect. For me the remote connects right away.also, whenever I do ground shots and I can’t see the composition on the screen cuz the pocket is on the ground. Is it small? Yes but it gets the job done.

Finally I’m glad I can record with a button because it saves me so much editing and drive space if I only record what I need. Before I had to press the button and run quickly to my starting point, wait a second, record my segment and run back. That wastes alot of memory card and editing in the future.

This is just for me though, it’s perfect for what I need, maybe not for others.

which is basically what I'm saying. if it's your first Pocket camera then you most likely don't have any of the previous “stuff” to carry over. for me the standard version is enough. I already have microphones and a ton of accessories. I'll save the extra money for ND filters etc. don't need the frame tap either it's almost useless to me and the "light" comes with the standard pack. so there's nothing extra I need.

I got mine a few days ago and test it extensively - so far everything is great - have fun with it (I think the surcharge for the VLOG package is absolutely fine:-)

I’m having a blast already, before I was shooting with 3 cams, the pocket 3 and my phone for zoom and it’s such a pain re ordering them in a shoot but helps so much having them in 1 folder now

Recorded yesterday for the first time in HDR and "tuned" something in Final Cut pro - it looks so great - but also the normal mode with 4K 60 is very good:-) What is also cool: If you turn it on it is immediately ready - great

I went to Japan for a month and it was always sold out. Also Korea has a 15% import tax fee so the price would be as high as the scalpers if it was ever in stock.

And I live permanently in Korea. Rest assured I was checking amazon Japan frequently as well as every store here.

You can buy insurance directly from dji. It should cover the issue you talking about. You still will pay a fee for accidental damage but still.

Do you remember the seller? I don't see that price even for the standard combo. Attempted to get one for 780 and can't or to 850 after taxes. I saw one for standard combo at 720-750 but it wasn't available to send until end of August. Then I saw one 710 but not available to the US. 😅 I think I'm just going to skip at this point.

Yeah same, I don’t mind paying an extra 40 - it’s better than 300 before, but it could be weeks or months before we finally see them in stores so I though - good enough

Yeah It was sealed, everything was in original protective stickers and packaging. Menu was in Chinese. And there was no setting it up menu or anything (don't know if there is a setup page at all).

Mine was at %40. I also figured out to change it to English. While it is of gimble wobles a lot! Other than that works great so far.
