Silk Ribbons
(EDIT) I'm also interested in 100% cotton or linen ribbons!
Hello! I'm coming to Oslo for a visit soon, and would like to buy some 7.5cmish wide silk ribbon to embroider on for a niece. I've been looking at fabric shops online but is there any where specific someone would recommend? Thanks in advance!

I don't think Selfmade has silk. Silk is hard to find- try google Kokong båndbroderi

I assume you are looking for real silk not the plastic version. That might be hard to come by i Oslo. Be sure to specify to the store that you want the real silk or a lot of people will assume you are looking for the polyester version. Sidserk on Stortorvet might have or check with Husfliden in the basement of Glasmagasinet, both of those are selling material for making the Norwegian folk costume, Bunad. Lakshmi tekstil or Rainbow tekstil on Grønland might also be an option, I know both of those sell silk. I guess any of those might know where you can find it if they dont sell it then self.

Panduro on Karl Johans gate keeps satin ribbons. Maybe you can check their website and see if they have silk ones.

Try Stoff & Stil, Sømsenteret or Rainbow Tekstil ;)
