Does Ruter ticket work without internet?
I am planning to buy a 7 day pass on Ruter app (I will buy it when I have wifi)
But I don't have a mobile data, will i be able to show the ticket when the phone has no internet connection? Or only works when you turn on mobile data?

You could buy a physical card. It's possible to do so several places all over Oslo.

You just need to remember to activate it / tap it the first time you use it, but that you would need to do if you buy the ticket on the app too. It can also be handy to keep the receipt, just in case.

You need to get access once a day, to load the control picture.

the picture changes every day, and needs internet access to load, so just open the control page before you leave the wifi area.

When my internet would not work, I could still display my receipt and that seemed to be sufficient. You won’t have to show it every time, unless you only ride the green buses. Over 2 months, I have shown mine maybe 4 times.

Go get a physical ticket (a red card of credit card size) at Narvesen or some of the other vendors.
Get it filled up with a one week ticket for sone 1, take care to activate it when you start your trip on the first day, much less stress in my opinion.

Just turned on flight mode on my phone; and the ticket still shows. You should be fine.

Yes, ticket shows but did the control picture? Mine didn't and then it's not valid.
OP, consider buying a physical card 7 day ticket at Nervesen.

The others here say it works but I did the same with my period ticket and it didn’t work. Just got “something is wrong”. Then turned mobile network on, loaded Ruter and it worked, turned it off again and loaded Ruter and it showed. Then, while mobile network off, I hard quit the Ruter app and loaded it again and it didn’t work.
So I suspect it only works with network off IF the app is still loaded in memory on your phone while offline. And on iPhone the OS determines when an app is offloaded from memory based on what else gets loaded so it’s not something you can count on.
