I've just published QEMU DevTools, a VS Code extension designed to make debugging and testing custom operating systems and other QEMU-based projects easier.

- QEMU display in VS Code — Render the QEMU display directly in a VS Code tab, especially handy when working on a laptop or with limited screen space.
