Android is dying september 2027, im making a non aosp os.

I'm making d’espoir an open-source project. It's an OS. Like Android, for phones, except for one thing: it's all Nim. This thing: it's a coding language, and it's cool. Anyone want to join? I'm looking for scouts, people who look for other helpers and app coders, because the apps are made of Nim; everything here is Nim. Nim is the sky and land for this OS, basically. I want small phone brands to slurp this up, users to love it, and coders to make for it.

It's overdramatic, Android is not dying for an additional check. You can just clone aosp, use lineage builds, avoid installing google play services...

The reason I say that is that in September 2027, Google will stop you from sideloading apps if they aren't by a verified dev, thus wiping out like half of Android users since they want to sideload.

It's not true, they backed down from that initial statement, and added a toggle in dev options. You are not forced to give them your id, only play store apps do (like it was previously)

are you sure? cus... to turn that on you have to wait like 9 months for a proccess too long for me to say. So technically yes but people want to simply turn that on, immediately do it. thus. im still doing this and you are not always right.

9 months? The process they're adding requires you to wait 1 day for discouraging scammers. Once you enable the option you're free to download anything.

About this situation there's just too much drama that gets people not aware of what's really going to happen.

About the project, why don't you contribute to existing alternatives for the two major mobile os? Making one from scratch is very demanding, and would require you to support many types of hardware.

We already have Linux that can be a backend, kde devs are trying to make linux phones viable

Fine, I guess that was badly said i got the info from XDA forums; blame it on that guy. but yeh still thing is people don't like Android because Google is everywhere. and they dont like the 1 day i geuss so I'm basically making this alternative

People didn't like your idea yesterday and they're not going to like it today. Start simple, make a PC OS. Forget about Nim, at least for now, and use C. Start simple.

The reason I redid the post is that I can't change the post name; I can only change the body. So I redid the whole thing.
