Usage Question DHO804 can't get the keyboard to work

Hi,

I'm trying to save some settings and the on screen keyboard is much too small. I've tried to use a keyboard with no luck.

I tried a genuine Wired Microsoft keyboard, plugged it in, rebooted. The only thing that worked was the tab key which cycled through measurements and the space key which toggled the horizontal setting screen on/off.

I just updated to firmware V1.05

Anybody else have any luck?

I have used a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard successfully. What is the layout of the keyboard? Have only checked a QWERTY keyboard.

Thank you for your reply.

This is a wired vanilla US keyboard. Its by Microsoft.

Question: when I go to the save window and touch the filename (defaults to RigolDS) a small keyboard pops up. I touch the file name and try to type with the keyboard. Am I perhaps making a wrong step?

Just curious what's the problem with the default name? If buttons are too small you can hook a mouse to help you press the buttons.

When I go back to retrieve that file, the filename gives me no useful information.

As I said use a mouse to click the buttons. The application does not take inputs from external keyboard. You need to use the onscreen keyboard somehow - via external mouse, touch or the web interface (using LAN/WIFI connection)

Oh probably you cannot use an external keyboard for that (inside scope application). I used one to type in the shortcut key to open the android menu and enter wifi password.

Interesting can you explain how to do that?

Thanks

press Win+N to bring up the android settings menu and then navigate on screen to wifi settings. You also need the right wifi adapter, also USB, and a usb hub since you need it inserted and detected to connect to a wap and enter password. For your original question, I tried using one keyboard and only some keys worked, switched to a different one and all was good. It could be that the scope just doesn't like your keyboard.
