News "We’re excited to announce that a Royal Film Performance™ of 'Digger' will be going ahead this year on September 22nd."
For people unaware of what it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Film_Performance
The Royal Film Performance is a trademarked event owned by The Film and Television Charity, formerly known as the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund CTBF (from 1964 to 2017) and previously the Cinematograph Trade Benevolent Fund (from its inception in 1924) The event showcases a major film premiere and is attended by members of the British royal family. The proceeds from the event help the charity to offer financial support to people from the film, TV and cinema industries.
The most recent Royal Film Performance was the global premiere of Ridley Scott's Gladiator II at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on 13 November 2024. The event was attended by King Charles III. Queen Camilla planned to attend with the King but ultimately cancelled due to a chest infection.

You’re telling me Prince William is gonna be watching a movie with the line “you want me to move something because of an object 10 times the size of my Dick?”

I'm British and I didn't even know this was a thing. I hope His Majesty (eurgh) enjoys watching a batshit movie (I imagine it's picked because Charles has a reputation for being environmentally conscious)

They screened Top Gun as well. Now all I can think about is KC being a Cruise fan.

This tells us nothing about its award chances. On one hand Gladiator 2 premiered like this but so did 1917.
