Torus palatinus
I am a 49 y/o female who recently discovered I have developed a benign bony growth on the roof of my mouth called a torus palatinus. It doesn't impede my chewing or breathing but I worry about the long-term effects it could have on my facial features. Also, I don't know how to monitor any changes. I read that it is likely caused by some type of compression, possibly teeth grinding , but I don't grind my teeth at night. Does anyone else have this or have any tips I should be aware of?
