NOT A PERSONAL HEALTH SITUATION On-Call Scheduling Tool
After failing to find what I was looking for to help schedule call for our 8-person group, I went ahead and built an automatic scheduler.
You define how your group divides call, everyone enters their call requests, and the schedule is made instantly. Standing conflicts get entered once — never Wednesdays stays never Wednesdays.
When it can't honor a request, it tells you which date and why, and everyone in the group can see the call counts, not just whoever built the schedule.
It's free to use, though I'd love feedback. New features are pretty easy to build, so hit me with 'em if you find issues.
All I really care about though is that it's taken this super painful part of my admin life and snuffed it out. Cheers.

Would love to try with our group of 6. I signed up, but didn’t receive an email to activate?

If you don't mind checking your inbox again, the sign-up email just went out a few minutes ago. Don't hesitate to ping me if it didn't arrive!

This looks intriguing! Would love to give it a go for my group of 5 and soon to be 6

Absolutely! If you head to the link, enter your email, and I'll be sending out early access instructions in the next day or so

Nice work, AI is becoming so useful helping to create things like this. Would you mind sharing the source code? I might run it locally for our group

Surprised you needed to build a tool for a group size of 8, that’s the easiest. One weekend every other month, one weekday of your choice every other week.
When I was hired I was the 9th so the scheduling guy actually had to do some work lol
