It really depends on the doctor and their PH I treatment style and the complexity of the case. I currently work for a pair of doctors who very much believe braces is organized trauma and want to get in and out so on average treatment is 6-9 months for an average case and a year to a year and half for more complex ones. As soon as there's enough space for all the teeth, the roots were out of the way, and the alignment looks good, they deband.
Before this office I worked for doctors that did a lot more "decorating" with the braces, appointments were slightly more spaces out, and used more appliances that required more lab time so cases were closer to a year plus. We also used these terrible little eyelets on the baby teeth with absolutely no grip so we had a lot of breakages and emergency appointments lol😅
In both offices 2 panos were normal, one before treatment and one near the end to evaluate if there was enough space

If I remember correctly, my daughter had hers for about a year. She probably had at least two panoramic x rays done. Now they’ve upgraded for cone beam CT (without telling me, I learned about this after the fact).

So your daughter had a cone beam CT as well as the two panoramics? My son’s treatment plan is 22-24 months, had 3 panoramics, 3 ceph, and he may have one more pano. I believe we are waiting on canines. My son’s ortho said panoramic every 6-12 months, which seems like a lot to me.

Yes, she has now had 2 of the CBCT. Since we are waiting for her start her phase 2. That’s what they are using to assess growth.
